SB PREMIERE: Asquith - This Is Home [Roller Rink]

The second release on Ravanelli Disco Club comes from french producer Yann Polewka. He's enlisted jazzy englishman Cody Currie for remix duties and we must say its perfect for the summer. Cody Has been moving away from sample based productions of late in favor of crisp original productions and we like it!. This is a very warm and bouncy affair, with live keys laid down in the studio with squiggly synth leads and bubbling acid arps dancing away over his clever use of the original sample material given.

Irishman Jimmy Rouge of Orange Tree Edit fame joins the Razor-N-Tape team with a 2-track EP of bumping edit heat. On the A-side 'So Long' flips a cheeky hook over a rubbery bass-line, with tension-building synth interludes that release into an ear worm of a vocal riff. 
RNT takes it back to their OG format of a single track per side, running loud and proud. One listen to these belters and you'll see why!

A couple of years ago we premiered a track by Jeppe Wolmer, taken from the 6th release of ØEN REC (@oencph). A year later we were onboard again when we featured the brillant work of Adam Emil on the Various Artists named "Islands in the Stream".

So yes! Yes we are big fans of ØEN Records and when we discovered this new gem produced by En Anden we knew that we had to say something about it. "Ting" is the debut EP of this Copenhagen-based artist, who goes under the moniker of Lazer (@lazert) when on the DJ duty. Wanting to express a simplistic and naive sound, he has taken inspiration from Italo Disco's quirky synthesizer themes and 90's house tight drum and stripped-down productions.

We are delighted to premiere the last track from the EP, a beautiful deep house remix by local talent DJ Popup (@why_u_poppin), the man behing the NES label project (@noc_e_space). This one has the typical sound signature that the Danish scene has become known for. This is an instant favorite and a smooth club tune for the early hours. 

The EP is release digitally only, with a limited edition poster and t-shirt made by T L S.

Fresh off the back of two sold-out releases, Bristol-based label Shall Not Fade @shallnotfade continues its UK Garage adventures on its offshoot label Time Is Now. Here they return with another slab of dancefloor weapons from London based producer Holloway @holloway-95! With "Homage To Claro", the producer offers a UK Garage take on Claro Intelecto's 2003 masterpiece "Peace Of Mind".

London-based producer EJECA @ejeca goes full Electro with the powerful tune "Nation", taken from his new EP "Polar Nation", his first on the Bristol label Shall Not Fade @shallnotfade.

One of Northern Ireland’s finest exports, EJECA, joins Shall Not Fade label with an impeccable 5 tracks EP. A master of his craft, he has released on seminal labels, including Sasha’s Last Night on Earth and BPitch! Control among many others. Living by the ‘music first hype later’ mantra, Ejeca here dishses up a real nice sonic smorgasbord on this new EP. 

One of his heftier offerings, opener "BetterB" is a total slammer! Nostalgic rave breaks, trance enhanced breakdowns, discrete vocals and broken-beats to shake life into you. "Never Should" is a more
recognisable cut from the Northern Irish artist. Classy 4/4 laden with nice grooves, uplifting keys and a gently wiggling acid line; this is pure 'hands in the air' house for rose-tinted summer days. 

B-side kicks off on a frenzied start with "Polar" an electro-infused house banger, followed with machine funk "Nation", a vibey, retro electro number. This is one for the small hours to get totally lost in. 

Finally, "Real" brings the EP to an epic close. This big room vibe-machine channels old Detroit vibes, it’s impossible not to get swept up into this groove!

Mirco Violi presents his latest EP on Milan's Taste Records. A well known figure of the Italian music scene, the artist has dropped music on esteemed labels such as Robsoul Recordings, OFF, International Freakshow, Hypercolour, Siler & Dima's Popcorn Records, and more. His "Milano Traxx" EP features three original house cuts, backed up by a powerful, bassline-driven remix from the label's head, Man.E.

For decades, Tijuana-based brothers Gerardo & Emanuel Cedillo have been producing astral deep odysseys, bringing together the raw sensuality of classic house and the restraint of techno, while incorporating jazzy ﬂourishes and colourful shifts in tones, rhythms and textures. 

With their Soul Of Hex @soulofhex project, they have already contributed heavily to the house and techno scene, DJing, promoting events, performing live sets and releasing surgical house cuts for labels such as Quintessentials, Secret Crunch, CVMR, Dirt Crew as well as their own Vicario imprint. 

Having previously dropped two heavyweight EPs on Freerange Records, and label boss Jimpster now  welcome the brothers on his Delusions Of Grandeur @delusionsofgrandeur imprint for an absolute banger of a release entitled "Disco Permanente EP".

From the crunchy, high energy drive of the title track with its MPC-style edits and punchy stabs, to the optimistic vibe permeating through closing track "Psychic", from the Soundhack-inspired craziness of "Drum Fantasy" to the live, octave bassline stomp of "Polygon Alpha Funk" featuring Cornelius SA, this is an EP deeply rooted in the origins of house music. Diversity, authenticity and overall quality make it a true classic that will stand the test of time.

London-based producer Alfredo Romero @alfredoromerouk, head honcho of the Tapas Wax imprint, here joins the Dansu Discs @dansudiscs family as part of the fourth volume of the label's VA series.

This 18th release from the label sees an impressive list of up and coming artists gathered on the compilation, such as Ethyene, Interplanetary Criminal, Warwick, as well as Dansu Discs returning acts Pinder and Main Phase, amongst others.  

An extremely talented producer, Alfredo Romero's knowledge spreads all across the music spectrum, from jazz to blues all the way through to electronic music where his new alias sits. ⁣With "ASMR" he offers a pure UK Garage track using samples of pianos, strange sounds, whispering voices and bleeps, making it an impressively dynamic and smart production. A genius sound, and definitely an artist to keep an eye on!
