Nahe der Grenzen zur Schweiz und zu Frankreich, im Südwesten Deutschlands, gibt es die Streethop Click. Sie stehen für HipHop-Live-Events, Freestyle-Sessions, Mixtapes und eigene Alben. Aus ihrer Mitte kommt der Rapper und Beatbastler P-Vers, der bereits Ende der 1990er Jahre mit Szene-Größen wie Torch, Boulevard Bou und Toni L. auf Tour war und Songs veröffentlichte. Mit seinem Partner Claudio Esposito und weiteren Aktivisten wie Maximum One oder Slonesta basteln sie seit Jahren an ihrem ganz eigenen Entwurf von HipHop. Dabei hört man ihre Liebe zum klassischen Funk & Soul genauso heraus wie die Zuneigung zu klassischem BoomBap, traditionellen Westcoast-Bounce und Trap. P-Vers setzt immer wieder in seiner Musik auf klassische wie auch neue Impulse und treibt seine Raps oft mit eigenen Beats voran. Die Balance zwischen deepen, introvertierten, autobiografischen Tracks und melodiösen Partytracks haben im südwestdeutschen Raum und darüber hinaus eine knackige Reputation besorgt. Diese Konzept zieht sich erfrischend von seinem Albumdebüt „Tage voller Zorn“ bis zu seinem Projekt „FREI“ und führte zu Kollaborationen mit den Heidelbergern Deutschrap-Veteranen, dem Dancehall-Rookie Slonesta und Westcoast-Gangsta-Rap-Legende MC Eiht. 2020...FÜR MEINE PEEPS II
