I chose Greensleeves because it's one of my favorite holiday tunes. I loved reading the origin of the piece. According to Wikipedia, "There is a persistent belief that Greensleeves was composed by Henry VIII for his lover and future queen consort Anne Boleyn. Boleyn allegedly rejected King Henry's attempts to seduce her and this rejection may be referred to in the song when the writer's love "cat me off discourteously." I enjoyed reading that part, especially since my parents loosely named me after their daughter, Queen Elizabeth I.  There's another thing on Wikipedia that suggests Lady Greensleeves may have been a prostitute, but I prefer the King Henry story.

I fell in love with the new Studio Ghibli Film "Kakuya Hime / Princess Kaguya" which I saw recently. When listening to the OST I heard a beautiful flute solo on the track "The Sprout", so I listened to the song,  picked up my flute and played this by ear! 

Can't wait to play more of the beautiful pieces from this movie!
