It's summer vacation time over here in Germany. Many people left for nicer places to visit and to relax from work. My wife and I do so before and after summer usually, when those nice places are a bit quieter and less overrun. So I am at home most of the time (except on next weekend, when there will also be no new syndae show). With all the warmth at this time, all in all it makes totally sense to go a bit quieter on music this week. Yes, it's getting into the easy listening realm of sound this time. To commemorate Tony Allen's passing last Thursday and celebrate his infectious drums sound, we share today the official solo track of his drums take on @sebastien-tellier cult song "La Ritournelle". 

Tony Allen was a maestro. His torso wouldn’t move when he played the drums. He never hit hard, his speciality was extreme subtlety. He played the drums on "La Ritournelle" in one take, then he had to pick up his kid at school!

It is so common to wish anybody luck for a new year. Maybe other things as well, like happiness, but luck is the most common I think. But what is luck? Is there such a thing as luck? Or is it just a sequence of events and circumstances that presents one as a positive outcome? I am sure there are plenty philosophical books on this topic, and maybe some biology books as well explaining what hormones make a human experience to have luck. Is feeling lucky a consequence of having luck? If so, we have a lot of luck because of the many great artists around composing such beautiful electronic music as to be heard on tonight's edition.
