YOUCANCALLMEO is a classically trained music producer, sound designer & DJ based in Berlin, Paris & Vienna. He's the co-founder of the vinyl house music label Small Great Things and runs his own creative agency BRU BRU BRU BRU Media. Playing and composing since the age of four, he has written music for numerous theater productions and dance performances as well as for awarded short films and video productions. His international activity has taken him on tour around Europe, the Americas and to remote destinations in Asia frequently.

When performing, YOUCANCALLMEO loves spinning vinyl records from his extensive collection and always brings in contemporary house tunes with an eclectic and groovy touch as well. Live performances often feature drum machines, synthesizers and string instrument arrangements.

Oliver Viol has trained in sound design during his academic years studying Computer-music and Media Composition and refrains from using pre-made loops, crafting his own samples and making use of field recordings to create unique sounds that match his musical language and suit every track he works on.

McDead is the musical vehicle of London born producer and archaeologist Kev Edinborough - travelling all over. His music is heavily influenced by the alternative/electronic scene he grew up with working as roadie and then guitarist back in 1990's South East England, playing dozens of dodgy and later not so dodgy venues, before going back to college, getting a PhD and being an archaeologist when not making music. Hard to nail down, McDead draws inspiration from Captain Beefheart and Extreme Noise Terror as much as Steve Reich, Jimi Hendrix and Mr Bill.

The first McDead album was recorded in Melbourne with Plastic Jungle Records at Laneway Studios, with a limited vinyl release pressed at Zenith Records which sold out in 2021. Thanks for all your support!

I make music because I find it relaxing and motivating to express feelings and a general mood into a universal language such as music. I will never understand how to confine myself into one genre but my main focus is somewhat Deep, House and as often as I can Soulful / Jazz elements. There is nothing more invigorating as seeing people dance and enjoy your music or simply just talk to each other while one of your songs sets the mood. I am constantly trying new things and implementing new genre elements so follow me if you want to hear what is next.
