Garden Talks 02 - Doctrina Natura

We are more than excited to present to you our first guest mix in behave of the 'Herbarium' series, recorded by the wonderful @dycide. It reveals one side of the organic and groovy vision of this new born label in form of broken techno vibes as well as driving Drumandbass.
The artwork displays an 'Antirrhinum', a flower which is also known as the dragon flower. It presents itself in its full beauty during July and impresses with its colourful blossoms. This plant is really powerful - it always comes back, even after really cold winters. The seeds are more than ready to sprout anywhere as soon as the warm season begins. The mix and the flower are both radiating pure strength and at the same time soft and gentle textures, a lovely combination and the perfect starting point for QEONE.

Dycide is a Deep-Techno and Drum and Bass producer/DJ based in Munich, Germany. He produces electronic music, which is best described as intricate rhythms combining various percussive textures while keeping a subtle atmosphere. This creates a very minimalistic sound without losing the importance of storytelling. While his other passion, the art of programming, lets him experiment with generative art, both in visual and auditory work. In 2018 Dycide co-founded the audiovisual label IO together with his close friends MTRL & Polygonia. The label already counts many successful releases and has gained a deep following over the years.

One of the founding three of IO Records, MTRL's set is filled with the lingering heat of an Indian summer, and punched by the vivacity of autumn's colder nights. Filled with mystery and intensity, he takes us on a ritualistic nocturnal journey as we transition through seasons and prepare for the winter to come.

Born in Argentina, but living most of her life in the Canary Islands, and currently residing in the city of Barcelona, Imox entered the world of mixing during her adolescence, teaching herself, experimenting with different genres until she found her sound marked by a high mental, organic and enveloping content.
Imox is a Mayan Nahuatl, it represents the divinity or essence of the universe, the very root from which all life arises and to which it returns when it dies; and this is how her sessions unfold, an organic evolution like the very process of life. Her sound transports us to the atmospheres and natural landscapes of the island of her childhood, accompanied by hypnotic grooves, tribal elements and cosmic textures, a progressive journey through unknown dimensions with overwhelming intensity.
Imox is member of Barcelona based collective SubRadio.
Since she started to play as Imox, she has been showing her finesse in the mix and her great music selection in the main clubs of the city such as Razzmatazz, Apolo, Moog, LAUT or Red58, and this 2023 she will play at Mostra Festival.

Vanoni is a young DJ / Producer hailing from Patagonia, Argentina, currently based in Buenos Aires. Influenced by the most hypnotic and abstract sounds of Deep Techno, he started to develop his producer side in 2018, after years of DJing in his home town scene. Achieving a characterised base by long and reverberating pads, enveloping textures, minimal percussion and psychedelic synths. You’ll find his production on labels such as Danza Nativa, Ritualism, From a lost place, NFEREE, and Technologia Organica.

We are excited to wrap up the year 2022 with a bang by featuring Toki Fuko's incredibly vivid and immersive mix. The Russian artist brings a diverse array of hypnotic sounds to the table in this captivating recording. In his current work, Toki Fuko spends most of his time in his sound laboratory, collaborating with other artists both within Russia and abroad. He is constantly finding new ways to experiment with sound modulation and push the boundaries of his craft

Recently this talented producer released wonderful EPs on labels like Silent Season, Annulled Music, Affin Records and many others, which are well worth checking out. In addition to all of this, Toki Fuko is making a name for himself as Live PA artist, as he is performing alongside Simone Bauer among others at the upcoming Confluence event at Petit Bain club, Paris next month.

Enjoy this mix that perfectly captures the mood of this gloomy season and takes you on a trip.

ABSIS is Salva Coromina, a regular DJ on the Barcelona scene since the late 90s under the alias of mouseDown/MouseUp, was a resident DJ at The Loft and a regular at Sonar for many years.
