This Legend crowd, whose band name is more than ironic allusion to the 1970s film of the same name, are certainly a tight group of musicians, and the introduction of the boozy brass, certainly evokes a haunting Hallowe’en feel – again very appropriate for the approaching All Hallow’s Eve.

Pinky is the third track released by slumclub.
The tracks themes stem from information overload and the tendency for certain people to over share when sometimes you have enough going on in your head, without having others problems burdening you. Musically, there are influences from the likes of Softplay and Idles.

Engines Made From Soup are originally from Merseyside, UK and comprise of : 
Gareth Cross 'Crossy' - Lead Vocals 
Gareth Evans 'Evo' - Keyboards & Backing Vocals 
Stephen Spencer 'Ste'- Guitars 
Crossy met Ste at Boy Scouts and went to school with Evo. Influenced by Joy Division, Echo & The Bunnymen, David Bowie, The Smiths and lan McNabb, amongst others, ‘The Soups’ have played gigs across Britain, including playing at the Cavern Club on Mathew Street, Liverpool. 
Coming off the success of their 2020 album ‘Again’ and three single releases in 2021, the boys are producing their best ever music. Their indie pop songs feature strong lead vocals, searing guitar riffs, great keyboard melodies and striking vocal harmonies. 
Latest single ‘The Lemming Trail’, released on 16-Sep-22, is their best work yet and precedes the release of their forthcoming album ‘Contact’ later in 2022.  
Of The Lemming Trail, Phonotonal says 'this single is musically rich.’ ‘It has a classic soft indie sound that allows all instruments room in the mix.’ ‘This song is telling a story, and it does it well.
