Spring is back at last
This is a song inspired by the snow melting into little droplets and streaming into the pond where the birds are singing and swimming now that spring is back again. A song as if I was Keith Jarrett playing piano accompanied by a dream team made of Charles Mingus at the bass, Jack DeJohnette at the drums, Alex Acuña at the percussions, Jan Garbarek at the soprano sax and Miles Davis at the trumpet. 

Everybody has the right to dream isn’t it?

February 24, 2022. The darkest day of Ukraine's history. Russian troops are entering Ukraine from occupied Crimea, Russia and Belarus. Thousands of towns and villages are under threat. The Chykmariov family, having moved to Bucha, away from the war in Donbas, hides in the basement. On March 5, the Chykmariovs and their neighbors decide to leave the city in two cars. On Lech Kaczynski Street, they drive right into the path of a column of Pskov paratroopers. Two civilian cars are shot at. Without warning or inspection. Marharyta Chykmariova, her two sons and a neighbor are killed. Olexander Chykmariov lost his leg but survived. In 2023 a key witness emerges in the case. A year after this horrible war crime, we have a chance
to learn the names of those who pulled the trigger.

It Will Haunt You

It always amazes me how the simple sharing of a guitar idea can become a full-fledged song in the hands of master-producer Seagull @farout-music-studio.  He enlisted the help of Madame Snowflake for the vocal and lyric theme of the song "Don't Be Afraid" adding his own special touches to the mix.  But it first started out as a love song from Godin, a guitar with a unique and beautiful nylon-string voice.

This painting depicts the Yoshiwara district, a licensed red-light district in the Edo period of Japan. It's a unique cultural aspect of Japan, and explaining it fully here is challenging. Interestingly, some men genuinely proposed marriage to courtesans. To some, the courtesans working here might have seemed like starlight in the night sky.

I would like my first release in 2024 to be about beauty and hope with a touch of melancholy. After all, as you start the year, so you will spend it... This is exactly what the track "Threads of Ember" is about. It's a metaphor for a dying fire. But it lacks only one gust of wind to flare up again. What emotions did you experience?

Threads of Ember

On a stormy horizon, where the sky mixes with the sea into one elusive haze, the captain stands on the bridge of his ship, as if in military formation before battle. His hands are trembling from the unrestrained forces of nature that are trying to pull him off course. He is not just steering the ship, he is dancing with it on the brink of life and death, controlling every movement with the dedication of an artist. His heart beats in time with the waves, but he remains steadfast, refusing to give up the ship without a fight.

Against the Gale

I started making music in the early 2000s, mostly in the trip-hop genre. I played bass guitar in alternative rock band "acloneofmyown" (2005-2015) and electric guitar in post-hardcore band "The Sky is Red" (2006-2009).

Since 2022 I've started producing solo music and soundtracks for documentaries in various genres - from piano and neo-classical to electronic ambient.
