Epul Roch is a musical and occasional visual project by Houston-based artist Guadalupe Rocha and friends. Intricately creating sonic soundscapes on a nightly basis with homemade synths and other electronics, Epul Roch hopes to bring his listeners into total awareness of sound and the musical satori that reveals itself to him on these late, fateful nights. Decimating the dividing line between sound and vision, Epul Roch envisions an all encompassing sensory experience, where performer and listener are arrayed like ever-shifting plot points on an as-yet uncharted sonic grid. As Epul Roch's deftly uses his handmade controller, he takes us on a sweep from clustered buzz-toothed sine waves into lulliing hypnotic bass perched at the threshold of the audible and physical. In the world of electronic experimentation, there is not yet a name for what Epul Roch is creating. 'When the mode of the music changes, the walls of the city shake.'

Anfang der 90er Jahre fing für Frank Tonpfleger in Dresden alles an. Die altehrwürdige Gasschleuse war seine Geburtsstätte, doch lange hielt er es dort nicht aus. Bereits 1994 zog es ihn nach Berlin! Damals noch als ,,Sounddealer" bekannt kam er 2002 im SchwuZ an. Dort war er mit seinen treibenden Housesets und deepen Electroklängen bis 2006 DER After Hour DJ. Außerdem legt er den Grundstein für die Mittwochsparty im heutigen SchwuZ, mit seinem Partner DJ Modeopfer begründete er 2004 die erste Mittwochsparty im SchwuZ unter dem Namen ,,Body sound". Seitdem folgten viele Bookings u.a. auf dem Porn Film Festival oder auch bei Chantal's House of Shame. Auch bei Gloria Viagra's Partysane gehörte er zum festen Stamm. aktuell suicide Circus berlin Chantals House of Shame .... mit seinen Set's entführt er die Menschen in eine schönere, bessere Welt.<3

From 2011 on I started experimenting with various music-making programs, exploring the art of music. Since my tracks are standing on the level of experiments, I would not call myself a musician or anything similar. I do not think that would be fair to people who deal with it professionally. For me, music is just another way of self-expression.

And still, what inspires me are different sounds. Individually and in combination. This is what the majority of my tracks consists of simple melody combined with in combination with samples of different sounds, recorded by myself or downloaded from the Internet, which give depth and meaning of the main melody.
