A undoubtedly danceable piece taking the listener on a ground subway journey through the shady neighborhoods of the Bronx in the late '90s. This musical narrative ranges from the pulsating rhythms of urban streets taken down to underground clubs, to the lavish realms of wealthy kids at the end of the decade. The track undoubtedly radiates dance energy, drawing richly from the legacy of various electronic genres. It's a musical experience where ultratribe resonances intertwine with exotic sounds, creating a multi-layered tale of contrast and harmony in the urban landscape of the '90s.

Lyrics was generated by freshbots.org algorythms and a bit changed to my vision. English is not my first language of use so if something doesn't make sense then blame my (non)understanding. It was more like fun making. An artistic way to express for "better" listening.

Main sense was about kind of sick, crazy love, unrequited that drive us to the edge of sense of good and evil. This is the kind of love with our suffering that hurts us and others. And when we can't balance the feeling we go over the edge. And all around must go with us. Especially the ONE.

Fun fact:
When I've tried to sing this for a few first sessions, verse "For I am the creeping nightmare, you're (...)" sounds mostly ...different... Constant changing the sentence "unaware" into "underwear" makes me not finished the performance because of permanent laughs on myself. Hope I would never have to sing this on live session because my "professional" sense will never let me skip the mistake unnoticed.

Amazing Grace verdankt seine Entstehung einem Schlüsselerlebnis seines Autors John Newton, der Kapitän eines Sklavenschiffs war. Nachdem er am 10. Mai 1748 in schwere Seenot geraten und nach Anrufung des Erbarmens Gottes gerettet worden war, behandelte er zunächst die Sklaven menschlicher. Nach einigen Jahren gab er seinen Beruf sogar ganz auf, wurde stattdessen Geistlicher und trat gemeinsam mit William Wilberforce für die Bekämpfung der Sklaverei ein.
Die heute weltweit bekannte Melodie, die sogenannte New Britain, tauchte erstmals in einem Gesangbuch von 1831, dem Virginia Harmony auf. Sie ist pentatonisch und soll ursprünglich auf amerikanische oder englische Wurzeln zurückgehen, wird aber auch James P. Carrell und David S. Clayton zugeschrieben. Der ursprünglich zur Melodie gesungene Originaltext ist heute verloren. Der heute üblicherweise gesungene Text von John Newton wird gelegentlich auch mit einer anderen Melodie gesungen, der 1958 in Kentucky entstandenen Old Regular Baptist.

In ihrer Nachwirkung besonders bedeutsam ist die Harmonisierung, wie sie im Gesangbuch Southern Harmony von 1835 geboten wird. This is another track I made many years ago. I made it audio bin style by rearranging baselines and guitar parts from old stems from Blankets. If my recollection is correct, I might have reused parts of “Falling Off (The Precipice),” which is currently set on private. It has been sitting on my hard drive asking to be released but I have been telling it no, you need to be patient and wait. Once I finally felt I could release it, it sounded old to me, lol. So Wou-Wou and Wizardshoes / AKA Ill Dub came to the rescue. They resuscitated it, fed it good food, and dressed it up real nice, and now it is ready to go!
