French label Hard Fist returns with a solid various artists release entitled ‘Princes Of Azbu’. The release features five Middle-Eastern flavoured cuts from five producers from five different corners of the globe.  Our pick for the premiere comes from London based producer Timothy Clerkin of Eskimo Twins fame. Clerkin’s track fuses together the dispersant worlds of psychedelic guitar music and dark, eery acid, creating a hypnotising yet totally dancefloor-worthy jam. Check it below!

Dechainee was released end of 2016 as a Limited EP 7“ vinyl and digital featuring artworks from the Video Robi directed. The track features Justine on vocals. Remixes were by Borusiade and MR TC. This time the track was remixed by Desert Sound Colony. He just released an EP on SC&P and runs his Holding Hands imprint, and here features alongside many great artists on the 6th compilation from Relish!

Field Of Dreams are Chris Kentish & Alan Mackenzie. Both have produced many tracks on their own or with other bands (Field Theory and D:Ream being the obvious ones!) but fate has thrown them together and they can't stop making tunes! They have releases out or due on Pleasure Unit and Clandestino Records. Their remix of Les Crocodiles’, La Nuit Des Tropiques is an ALFOS staple and has met universal approval. There will be more. Over the past year or so Field Of Dreams have been gaining support from many of the heavy hitters on the scene without actually having any music released. Their huge remix of Les Crocodiles', 'La Nuit Des Tropiques' being a case in point. That's now been remedied with their recent releases on Pleasure Unit being quickly followed by this monster. Released on their own label and remixed expertly by one of those heavy hitters, Mr Andrew Weatherall, and the hugely talented Mind Fair, this is set to explode.

The Original Vocal mix tips its hat to that 90's indie, progressive dance championed by the Guvnor back then, featuring a heavy breakbeat, huge bassline, dub pianos and panpipes! Then there's the vocalist, Mr Bradley, who sounds, uncannily, like a certain Mr Lydon which may throw some but works a treat. Strap yourself in and enjoy the ride.  Mind Fair drop the pan pipes and most of the vocals, beef up the kick and concentrate on the opening riff, adding a few more drums. Andrew dubs it out adding 808 drums with Al’s vocal repeating throughout.

The first EP - Chomp! Chomp! presents the debut of Golden Mammals - a collaboration between Eric from America and Chittom. Eric is a multi-instrumentalist and electronic producer with a unique style that pulls from a variety of genres. He is also an active drummer for TV Baby (with members of A.R.E. Weapons), as well as several other bands in New York and past projects in Hawaii.
The EP has three original tracks and a remix. "An Hour a Day with You” blends acid house and techno with an obscure leftfield vocal by Chittom. The remix is a dubby techno slow-burner that will work in a variety of settings. On the other side, with two tracks by Eric from America, "At the Met Gala" & "For the Crowd” are two groovy techno-ish tracks with Eric’s unique touches - both are dancefloor and living room friendly. The EP is mixed by Justin Van Der Volgen and Kenji Shimoda, mastered by Rick Essig of REM Sound. Artwork by Dusty Gibbons.

Mufti is Bernardo Barrera, a multi instrumentalist producer from Guadalajara, Mexico. This project comes after being part of Los Fugazzi, and finds him focus more on rock variants and 80’s music. A mix of electronics with disco, electro, EBM and post punk define the sound. Vongold, meanwhile, is Nora Cam, a DJ and producer also from Guadalajara and influenced by genres such as disco, new wave and various girl bands. Her sounds seek to highlight the female voice, merging it with indie dance for an extra special edge.

The idea behind this EP, which draws on the influence of bands like Depeche Mode, Lebanon Hanover and The Kvb, was to "convey how we are constantly feeling anxious and chased by our failures. And even if we need to scream, the pressure and idealisation of modern life immobilises us and shuts us". ‘Totem’ is an excellent fusion of dark wave styles and crashing hits, it’s a new form of electronic punk that draws you deep into its own unique sound world. Last of all is ‘Moonstruck’, a prowling late night groove filled with tension and menace. This is a fittingly standout 50th EP for a label that has very much carved out its own singular place in the electronic music world.

Sung in a mixture of Japanese and English, ‘Dansu’ is a hymn to dancing the night away, the track’s taut Motorik rhythms and lambent washes of synths blending perfectly with Aili’s hushed vocals to create a hypnotic, languorously funky, track with echoes of artists like Can or Stereolab.

‘Bufebe' is the name of the newest EP from Mexican producer Bufi and mysterious Lille producer Kubebe, member of the electronic band, Volcan La Peté.
This new work consists of 5 original tracks and was created completely online. During these last months the producers took turns and shared files to work on the tracks projects, which are inspired by birds, bicycles and insects.
The EP is a mix of organic and synthesized percussions, drowsy and mysterious melodies and psychedelic landscapes, creating an amazing jungle of sounds. The cover was made by Parisian artist Anne-Marie Gratton.

After the huge success of his 2nd album Solar Nights, Tim Bernhardt, AKA Satin Jackets, kicked off 2020 with a return to his nu-disco roots releasing a series of sublime instrumental singles. Now, having soundtracked the summer with hit collaborations with Metaxas and Panama, Tim caps a year like no other with a final instrumental release, the contemplative and wistful ‘A Higher Place’.

"'A Higher Place' is a track I wrote to evoke certain memories, specifically those that give me a feeling of elevation, of being lifted up. I wanted to bottle that feeling up so I could return to it when I needed a moment of reflection," explains Tim. "So for me this song is a time capsule of sorts, a souvenir of how I felt over the summer and now with the days drawing in and autumn in full force, I can return to it and sustain myself off those memories again."

A soft, gentle track, ‘A Higher Place’ combines calming synth washes with a sparkling melody, uplifting pianos and short snippets of delicate vocals to create a warm, nostalgic feeling. In the instagram version of your life, where you haven't spent the last 10 months staring at the same 4 walls, it's the kind of track that would be playing in a soft focus video where you and all your beautiful friends are dancing and laughing in a beautifully lit garden. Ah well, next year perhaps but until then press play, relax and let Satin Jackets lift you up...

T99, aka Belgian techno duo Patrick de Meyer and Olivier Abbeloos, haunted the raving dancefloors
of the early 90’s techno scene and gained interminable notoriety following the release of
