This Soft Machine (aka Tim Sullivan) returns to Eskimo Recordings with a highly charged slice of psychedelictinged modern disco, with remixes from Japanese artist https://soundcloud.com/chida73 and USA born https://soundcloud.com/avalonemerson. Created entirely by Tim and his band using analogue equipment, ‘It’s Operational’ follows on from last year’s double sided release ‘On & On / This Place Was Meant For Me.’

His previous release on Eskimo was met with high acclaim, with the accompanying video premiering on FACT magazine and the past year saw him supporting Carl Craig, DARKSIDE, Tim Sweeney, Flight Facilities and Chris Liebing on stage.

Tim met CHIDA after moving to Tokyo in 2009, describing the Japanese pioneer as “a guy with a huge smile and a great music knowledge to match”. He speeds things up with his cut, delivering an impressive, theatrical remix. CHIDA has been repping the Tokyo underground music scene for over twenty years and is founder of the much hyped label Ene.

Creating a darker and unyielding remix, Avalon Emerson was recently described as one of the “new leading ladies in underground dance ”. Avalon originally fed her appetite to DJ in the San Francisco party scene. Now  based in Berlin she has played alongside Erol Alkan and Fort Romeau.

Metronomy's 'I'm Aquarius' is one of the stand-out tracks from their latest studio album 'Love Letters' and Claptone has reworked it into a track that's now perfectly playable in any club.

There's an added groove that's obvious from the start, so look forward to a beefed-up drum beat, filtered builds and sumptuous drops that play on the beautiful piano melody from the original. Niiiice.

After a string of dance floor singles since 2012 including “Let Me Tell You” and “Strike”, Jimmy Edgar is back with fresh sound that is to become his signature for Ultramajic. 

  Over the period of two years, Jimmy has been building this new sound.  Where rhythm was the primary in his dance music, he has flipped focus and intensely studied melody, chords and music theory.  “Dreamz Come True” is the beginning of a new path; one that continues trajectory from his quintessential releases on Warp Records, over 10 years ago.

Opening track “4Fourth Dimension” – brings you into the #dreamzzzcometrue world, inspired by “astral choreography” and an array of house music through the lens of R&B.  The title track features vocalist Rochelle Jordan, and together they create a modern take on the “song” that sways back and forth between vibes.  “iPhone” ties them together with aggressive african rhythm and bounce that end in a room full of terrifying screams that unite everyone in fear.  “Hydrant” melts off the release with Jimmy’s low tempo equation that reminds you of artificial intelligence creating quiet storm.

Up next is the London-based DJ & producer Third Son, who unleashes a conceptually focused release off his new concept label - Polymath. 

His Polymath concept will ask different artists to create tracks inspired by their perception of a singular theme. The flagship release includes tracks from Einmusik, Pete Oak, and Third Son himself. All 3 tracks are malleable for the dance floor, yet dive into unknown territory. Having released on labels such as Noir Music, Stil Vor Talent, and Sincopat, his next release Genus is yet another display of both his musical and production dexterity.

Genus will be available June 20th via Polymath.
