This was a true collaboration, in that we each added material to the song in response to what the other did.  Nick completely transformed my original idea for the song into what I consider our best collaboration.  Thank you for the listen!

Well, my good friend Paco dropped me a note to say he had a piece of music to which I might like to try and add something, were I so inclined.  Always a good day when that happens.

Now, I can't honestly recall the precise sequence in which the neurons fired inside my skull to yield the result we have here, but we are where we are as they say.

Don't go looking at me for rationale.

Thank you, Paco, as always my friend, for inviting me to come out to play, and for mastering the end result in the midst of untold techno-horror grief.  I hope your DAW world resolves itself very soon.

Nick and I started working on this last year, then all hell broke loose in my life and it was put on hold.  When it was finally resurrected, I was amazed at how perfect every stem that Nick sent was.  He made my job at playing producer on this one (that will teach him) very easy.  There was little more I had to do other than an intro, outro, and proper mix.  

What I do to Nick is really unfair.  I handed him a piece of psytrance and said “here you go.”  The joke was on me.  His guitar work is blindingly brilliant and has, once again, transformed a song into something that defies genre labeling.  I was more out of my comfort zone with attempting Eastern music – Nick came up with rhythms and leads that meld so beautifully that at times I cannot distinguish between the synths and the guitar.

Please enjoy at high volume.
