When my friend Vali from @parallaxrecordings asked if I wanted to drop another Yaman Productions tribute mix for @peoples-station I was all over the idea! Last time around I did a tribute to the 1993 crop of mixes, pulling together tracks from that year's selection of mixtapes. This time around I've focused on the 1994 mix sets, taking four tracks from each of the five dj's that featured that year, and running through them sequentially, like this: Micky Finn -> Randall -> DJ Hype -> Peshay -> LTJ Bukem

A super fun selection, and one for all the true heads; this is a great crossover between hardcore and jungle, right as that whole transformation was happening. Enjoy!

The duo Two Turntable returns with strong creative energy on their new release, Inspire Me EP, delivering two Liquid Drum and Bass tracks shaped by introspection and sonic experimentation.

The opening track, “My Jazz is Jungle”, acts as a bridge between tradition and innovation: deep, organic basslines intertwine with jazz-inspired improvisations, recreating an atmosphere that nods to the genre’s roots while pushing into contemporary territory. I've always been into good drumbie or jungle, house music is where I live, but I like to travel outside as well, visit the neighbors so to speak, and make some drumnbass, ambient, techno or whatever. This versatility is one major bonus electronic music production allows us to do, and in my opinion one of the major reasons why I love making and living in the sounds of good electronic music in my productions. 
While I also fully enjoy jazz music and playing jazz piano, transcribing tracks by Bill Evans, Munk, Parker, Corea and many other legends, my mindset is in the study and mind expanding mode, as jazz theory in my opinion is one of the most interesting enigmas for a musician to get into "resolving", as it is really a gift that keeps on giving... but once I get my Moogs up and running, those lights and leds start turning on in my head as well, and I switch to pure enjoyment of making more electronic music, often incorporating what I learned while jazz studying, I guess ;)
You could say that I see ALL music as one big family, which often gets into quarrels with each other, but are always there for each other when, and if the shit hits da fan.

As one of my great teachers at Berklee in Boston '99 said: "It's just Music, maan".
