Recorded at home on a scorching hot, humid sunday in July 2014.
I've always wanted to try this great song out and see how it fits.
I have a show coming up this month that features some Bob Dylan songs so now was a good time to have a go at it.
So, while I was rehearsing why not record it as well? 
So, here it is.

Welcome to our cover of a never released single by “Münchener Freiheit” the English version of “Du bist Energy fur mich” written and composed by Stefan Zauner.
Nobody understood why it was only a bonus track on their double album “Definitive Collection”.
Many attempts were made to make an extended version, and they came with a German “Album” version of this song on their album “Energie”, but an English version was never released as single, only as a (short) bonus track, as the band were not satisfied with the end-production of the English version.

John Styles and Jaap van Oostveen wanted to make a completely different arrangement / version for this English version, unfortunately they never completely finished it, so it ended up at a shelf.

When Stefan left de band Freiheit in 2012, we knew this English version would never be released.
John asked Matt Baker to join him and they decided to make an extended English version of this song.
When we finished making the full instrumental, we couldn’t finish our vocal recordings on it, also because Hemmo was not well, so John decided to ask the German band “Berührt” to join singing on this song.
