Inspired by the rawness and honesty of artists like Elliott Smith, Julien Baker, Adrianne Lenker & Sufjan Stevens, Callum Pitt imbues his indie-folk with a grand, orchestral, chamber pop sensibility plus an alt-rock edge. Despite using music often as a canvas to openly discuss depression & anxiety, as well as political unrest, Callum still manages to imprint feelings of optimism and unity - alongside genuine warmth and honesty - throughout his songs.

28-year-old Pitt has been working on his craft for over a decade, beginning as a teenager in the Newcastle pub scene and gradually refining his thoughtful, poetic songwriting voice, leading to festivals such as The Great Escape, Deer Shed & The Long Road and support slots with artists including Donovan Woods, Adia Victoria, Jordan Mackampa and Cattle & Cane. Callum’s development as a songwriter has been recognised with accolades such as ‘Alan Hull Award’ for songwriters in 2019 & the ‘Fender Player Plus’ competition in 2022. As a result of his tireless work ethic, as an independent artist, Callum has amassed over 6 million streams, with releases landing on Spotify’s coveted ‘New Music Friday’ playlists 17 times & received radio play from BBC Radio 1 and BBC 6 Music. 

Meanwhile, he’s studying a masters in Occupational Therapy, and has worked with children, young people & adults with disabilities through various outlets, including therapeutic music work, giving him a new perspective on the cathartic and unifying power of music.

The Lake Poets is Martin Longstaff, a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter from Sunderland. 

Inspired by artists such as Feist, Warren Zevon, Carole King, Kings Of Convenience, John Martyn, Jackson Browne, Tom Waits, and Neil Young, Martin’s output as The Lake Poets is as haunting as it is beautiful. 

Stunning audiences in support of Willy Mason, Ben Howard, Daughter and Jake Bugg, Martin has also played sold-out shows at prestigious venues such as Union Chapel, Roundhouse and The Sage Gateshead, as well as major festivals such as Glastonbury and T in the Park. Haquin is a producer, multi-instrumentalist, composer, and educator based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Blending live-recorded instruments with electronic textures, his sound moves fluidly between ambient lo-fi, electronica, and indie folk. Constantly evolving, Haquin’s music is defined by rich, organic layers and a deep sense of atmosphere. As a collaborator and mentor, he’s passionate about helping other artists shape and share their creative vision.

'Soft, plaintive songwriting with an autobiographical edge...' - Clash

Always an intelligent and unique songwriter, it's now been five years since Mat's debut EP 'To Being Free'. Inspired by and likened to James Vincent McMorrow, Nathaniel Rateliff and Woodkid, the EP quickly captured the hearts of many and drew the attention of some of the industry's finest tastemakers (The Line of Best Fit, Drowned in Sound, Clash, The 405).

What followed was an impromptu hiatus. It's took until 2022 for Mat to rekindle his passion for music. He returned in style, releasing a string of mature, impressive releases culminating in the EP A Worrier's Dream, which was expertly mixed by Paul Gregory (Lanterns on the Lake).

In September 2022, the Newcastle-based songsmith will return with two live releases featuring tracks from his recent EP.

Recorded and filmed live in a single take, these reimagined solo versions of Friend & Foe and Backward Steps see Mat strip away the textured accompaniments that we heard on the full release. Left behind are the songs in their rawest and most endearing forms, rich with colourful harmony, heartfelt sentiment, and soothing baritone.

This release will be closely followed by perhaps Mat's most enchanting release to date - Just The Family Inside. With intricacy akin to Fleet Foxes and bursting with charm comparable to Bright Eyes' First Day Of My Life, Just The Family Inside provides yet further proof that Mat has become a writer comparable to few others.

Fran O'Hanlon acquired the name AJIMAL in the aftermath of being caught up in Haiti following the 2010 earthquake. 

AJIMAL's second LP, As It Grows Dark / Light, is an exploration of the ideas of terror and wonderment and was co-produced with Guy Massey (Spiritualized, The Beatles, Bill Fay). South Shields-born artist and songwriter Eve Simpson creates folk and americana-infused pop that blends the contemporary influences of Hozier and Brandi Carlile with the nostalgic storytelling of Joan Baez and Patsy Cline.

Eve has received national radio and editorial support, including BBC Scotland’s Track of the Week, airplay on BBC Radio 6, and consistent backing from BBC Introducing. Live, she’s completed two UK headline tours and played major events including Celtic Connections, London Fashion Week, Edinburgh Hogmanay, and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. She’s supported artists such as Martha Reeves & The Vandellas and UB40, and performed at festivals across the UK. She was named Feature Artist of the Month by The List, and has been supported by Help Musicians, Youth Music, and The Ivors Academy.

Touted as an act to follow on BBC Introducing in Newcastle, Warrilow plays what he calls ghost-folk: music inspired by trad folk, story-telling traditions and poetry. His songs are built around atmosphere, which he creates with melodic, fingerpicked playing on a classical guitar handmade by a relative, and metrical lyrics ringing with the sounds of Nick Drake, renewed with Crosby, Stills and Nash harmonies and Wild Beast driven rhythms.
