Giri, known also as Gi Napoletano, was born in Naples. Started playing with electronic music at 13 with a makeshift daw, Music, a Playstation videogame. His techno attitude has been more and more influenced by Detroit's Second Wave and UK techno scene.

He released tracks on Awry, Evod, Srie, Prophet, No Signal, Axis and others, and performed alongside artists such as Laurent Garnier, Steve Bicknell, Juan Atkins, Anthony Rother, Moritz von Oswald, Octave One, Matthew Herbert, Scan 7 and so on. In 2020 he founded his own label: Antiterra, whose name sums up the sci-fi concept of a theoretical planet in the Solar System which shares its Orbit with Earth and is constantly eclipsed by the Sun.

This set recorded for us reflects his musical vision that its clearly recognized in his productions as well. Sci-fi, deep and gritty techno that takes listeners float into another dimension. Enjoy the ride!

His musical roots reach back to the mid 80s, when Boris moved to New York for four years of musical inspiration thanks to Larry Levan's residency at Paradise Garage. With close connection to Berghain and Panorama Bar dating back to the old Ostgut location in 2000, Boris truly embodies his hometown's fascination for the perpetual evolution of dance music.

First time we heard about Raul Sanchez was around 10 years ago in Bologna, where he started his journey behind the decks opening for artists such as Shifted, Mike Parker or SHXCXCHCXSH.

Bosnian-built and -bred Sev Dah may be a Swedish expat, but the Balkan blackness clings strongly to the bleak percussions and rigidly uneasy synthetics that unwillingly fuse into his strongly individual take on techno.

He has been at the front of the underground scene playing all over Europe, which includes playing legendary gigs in Tresor and Berghain. Signed to respected labels such as Random Island, Mote Evolver and KSR he quickly gnawed his way into the scene’s core of DJs and producers. Sev is even managing new projects on his own label Proletarijat since 2016.
 
With influences ranging from Stigmata and Mills to Master Reese and Petar Dundov, Sev Dah is a versatile but headstrong DJ that can gently ease a thumb in at midnight or fervently thrust it down the hatch at peak time.

Born and raised in Morocco, Chami has been djing there before moving to Lyon, France and discovering his passion for techno. Now based in Berlin, where he has definitely become a cornerstone of the Stützpunkt Crew and fully integrated Berlin local underground scene.

Chami is one of those artists that truly reflects the spirit of techno, no superficial exterior surface of these days but only focusing on the pure art form itself. This mindset allows him to gained the trust of master such as Freddy K, evident during their spontaneous after hours b2b at Suicide Club in recent times, and also his debut with OPH at the legendary Berghain this month.

For EXTEND PODCAST 003 we are pleased to welcome one of the most influential figures of Berlin's electronic music history, Kareem. Founder of Zhark Recordings Berlin, he has been presenting heavy armoured track material since the year 96 challenging the auditory, pushing them deep into the abyss.

His portfolio ranges from dozens of vinyl releases on Zhark, to release collaboration with industrial techno producers such as Ancient Methods or Dave Foster (HUREN). Kareem has furthermore contributed to project like Amélie Ravalec's techno documentary "Paris/Berlin: 20 years of Underground Techno", Perc's 10 years anniversary compilation or boomkat's Connor Thomas conceptional vinyl series The Death of Rave. He has played both dj and live set in the major venue such as Berghain, Tresor or Katharsis.

From trip-hop, through dark idm, to industrial techno, Kareem' musical effort are meticulously executed without compromise.

Kick-off the series in 2021 with a very special guest from Italy. Label owner, photographer and exceptional sound explorer Alessandro Russo. Son of an artist, he approached to music at young age. Over the years he played and released under varius pseudonyms, but in 2015 he defined his artistic personality with an unique alias: Evod.

The highlights of his career are his debut at Tresor and having shared a stage with Jeff Mills, his idol and source of inspiration. Evod recently released "Fonderia LP" on Oscar Mulero's Warm Up Recordings. He had also published on Singular Records, Float Records and his own platform Evod Music co-founded with Oisel.

His mainly vinyl sets are charachterized by pounding and deep sonorities, influenced by ambient sounds as well as showing the spirit of Detroit techno in his groove based track selection.
