We are super excited to share with you our very first Far Blue set. Starting of with a fragment of David Augusts beautiful deconstruction of 'Lecture for Jo Kondo', this set shows our perception of Far Blue. Of the emotion of desire, the emotion of solitude and the emotion of longing. For us, It covers the longing for being in remote mountain ranges or on a distant island, and gradually works towards the longing for loud music and thumping beats (Which is more present now than ever...)

This platform for us is a way of feeling these connections again, sharing them and hopefully inspire you as much as we are inspired by the Far Blue. Bringing you sets created by artists we love and admire. We are very much looking forward to what this journey will bring, and we hope you are too!

Otis Mensah is a British rapper and spoken word artist from Sheffield whose poetic lyricism and sharp sensitivity redefine the boundaries of hip-hop. Eschewing empty bravado for introspective depth, his work is tender and unflinching – art-rap that resists convention and invites reflection. As the first Poet Laureate of his hometown, Otis used his voice to bridge worlds: between spoken word and rap, between high culture and underground scenes, between the listener and their own inner landscapes. Whether on the stages of Glastonbury or in hushed radio booths, he proves that hip-hop can be a space for vulnerability, healing, and truth.

In our interview with MATTER OF FACT, Otis opened up about the making of Before The Noise My Cousin – a collaborative album with producer the intern that blends intricate lyricism with raw sample-based sound. Pressed to vinyl with care and craft, it’s more than just a record. It’s a deeply felt sonic journey, shaped by friendship, storytelling, and soul.

Ekstendia (real name Andrey Afanasiev) originally from the cold Murmansk in Russia. Passion and love for electronic music came in 1998, when Andrey first heard acid techno and acid trance tracks. Since 2000, he acted as only vinyl DJ. Since 2002 he has actively participated in club life. Played on one stage with Burnski (James Burnham), Falko Brocksieper and other equally interesting DJs and producers. In 2012, together with his colleague Mød, created a project Aima, that promoting dark industrial techno sound. In 2015 Andrey created the project Ekstendia, that focused on deep dub sound and which today is the main.

I made this mix a few weeks ago for my dear friends in Singapore, Blackout Agency, and their fundraising stream that turned out to be quite successful. After two days and 16h of music by local and international DJs, Blackout Agency raised around $15K for The Food Bank Of Singapore. I'm happy I was part of this wonderful initiative.
