In the mood for dance music as of late. Goes well with the relentless heat, which is seemingly everywhere I go. So, here's something apropos - the Heatwave mix. I'll call it Radiation Ruling The Nation (the Mad Professor reference).So yes, I was a bit nostalgic for old-school beatmatching I guess, so it's a fully mixed thingy. Like in the olden days. As well as silly samples and homemade mashups. No other rules, but to keep it as unserious and silly as possible. The first part is in sexy Balearic booty-swaying tempo - works well with the rosé and bubbles, second is a bouncy house hour, so you'll need something stronger. Bio:

Darren Harper (b.1970) is an experimental/ambient sound artist residing high within the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.
Drawing from both electronic and acoustic sources, his compositional output is based entirely on experimentation and improvisation, with a strong emphasis on minimalism, and often reflects a desire for a greater understanding of nature and self, and the relationship therein…

Campfire Stories 75 (The Light of Orion) by Thomas Ragsdale

Eva Geist, artist who dedicated her life to poetry. She is one of the paramount artists of Macadam Mambo. She’s also a resident at Sameheads where, together with Laura ODL (Ondula), she hosts the night called Diapason. They also form the duo As Longitude, which first EP “Blauer Part” was released by Knekelhuis. Together with Donato Dozzy, Eva has just started a monthly radio show on NTS called Electric Eden.

This podcast entitled “Ode to Era” is inspired and dedicated to my friend Jonida Prifti, who’s celebrating birthday today. There's a common thread between all tracks, it is a chanting dedicated to the Great Goddess (Dea Madre). This podcast wouldn't be possible without African, Indian, Arabian and Bali music. This cultures has never stopped to be inspired by the Divine Mother. Only recently white people are learning it by approaching tribal music. Special thanks to Sonor Music Editions and Enrica Borsatto. Included tracks by Komodo Kolektif, Steve Pepe and Eva Geist, Jonida Prifti
