Olga Korol's exploration of sound began in Odessa in the early 2000s, where she developed an innate curiosity for musical patterns. Through local grunge and trip-hop scenes, she eventually found her way to electronic music and immersed herself in records, playing at major venues in Ukraine, including the renowned (but now sadly defunct) Kazantip festival.

Best known for her work at the Body Parts label, the platform has showcased music from an astutely chosen range of guests over the years. Now based in Berlin (where she’s been residing for the past eight years), Olga is renowned both for her eclectic and a DJ as well as her ability to pick the right tune at the right time. Never afraid to challenge her audience, she’s a most welcome guest for our Ukraine Series mix, and her mix rounds off the series with serious aplomb. Prolific producer Macarie is certainly not your typical Romanian artist. His wide musical influences cover 90’s house, breaks, acid and of course his take on the new school minimal sound of his homeland. For such young years Macarie’s productions bristle with the swagger and confidence of an artist much more seasoned. 

This assuredness in his skills has meant he has already amassed a seriously impressive discography that includes appearances on Simbioza, Alter Hour, Kontent, and his own Midas Touch imprint. As well as the hats Macarie wears as an artist his talents also lie with his A&R skills for his label. Since the first release he has welcomed a range of domestic artists rising and established.

Moving onto Macarie's InSession recording for us and as you might expect this explores the various facets of his sound. From vocal house to house bangers there is always a few cure balls such as the Basement Jaxx anthem ‘Fly Life’. Not necessarily what you might expect from a ‘minimal’ artist, but this is the beauty of artists such as Macarie where deviating from the plan is always part of the plan.

Federico Castriota aka Noha, is an Italian DJ/producer known for his work as one half of Pathagonia (alongside compatriot Alex Tea) and for running the always on-point Panick! Panick! Label. A truly busy and diverse musician, he’s spent the last couple years living in Berlin, Montreal, Japan and New York before recently settling back in his native Rome. 

Wherever he goes, it’s safe to say his music is welcomed with open arms, and though he’s tasted success in discerning circles already, his latest solo record is among his most significant to date. Released via Raresh’s Metereze label, the brilliantly named Instagram Visions (and we do recommend you follow Noha on Instagram!) is an awesome encapsulation of where he’s at sound-wise right now. We’re delighted to host the man himself on our mix series, which you can listen to here.

Aldo, the new alias, conceals the collaborative efforts of two talented artists: Lowris and Adema. United by a deep friendship and a shared passion for music, this dynamic duo injects a fresh energy into the scene.

For the past decade, Lowris has captivated audiences worldwide as an international touring artist. Prior to the unfortunate closure of the renowned Concrete club in Paris, he held a residency there, gracing the decks alongside some of the most esteemed figures in the industry. In 2013, he founded his own label, Aeternum Music, and has also released tracks on esteemed imprints such as Minibar and Nervmusic.

Since making his debut in 2010, Adema has been steadily making his mark on the electronic music scene. With his Full Scale project, he showcases his unique minimalistic sound in Belgium and France, garnering increasing recognition and acclaim. Building on his accomplishments, he has been a resident at Brussels' esteemed C12 club since 2018.

Now, Lowris and Adema have joined forces to collaborate on Adema's Full Scale project. Together, they have embarked on an exciting new venture—a vinyl imprint dedicated to breathing new life into this project. Anticipation is building as their inaugural release, featuring Olivier Romero with a remix by Tripmastaz, is set to hit your favorite record stores at the end of the summer. Already supported by influential artists like Raresh and Dyed Soundorom, this release is highly anticipated by music aficionados across the scene.
