Martin Buttrich is famously as fluent behind a mixing console as in front of a virtual drum kit. That technical prowess, combined with a fascination for music of every shape, has resulted in outstanding releases on influential labels such as Planet E, Four: Twenty, Cocoon, Poker Flat, Nervous and Desolat. And it’s not just the catchiness of his compositions or the way he manipulates beats into unique tapestries that get crowds hooked. His skills with a sonic scalpel, that esoteric ability to navigate the spectrum of audible (and inaudible) frequencies have given him cachet among even the most meticulous of sound engineers.

Roman Flügel is one of those artists who doesn't require much of an introduction, as the veteran German producer has literally been responsible for dozens of house and techno gems over the past two-plus decades. Next week, Flügel will be appearing on Lovefingers' excellent ESP Institute label with a new album, 'Themes,' which finds him largely eschewing the dancefloor in favor of more pensive electronic explorations. Ahead of the LP's release on October 26, we debuted the wandering psychedelics of "Theme IV" on Red Bull Radio's First Floor, our weekly look at what's new in electronic music.

'Dreiklang welcomes Italian native Hydergine for their fourth record; continuing with the label’s trian- gular remit of three juxtaposing interpretations per vinyl-only release. The aqueous tones of Hydergine’s ‘Diving Alone (Tape 3db)’ uctuate hazily around one another, with dampened thumps and diluted synths uncovering a carefully crafted murky mystery. Japanese producer Iori provides the rst remix; upping the tempo and twisting the meditative textures with a sound honed through two years living in Berlin, not to mention a pivot towards immersive sci- ambience on 2016 album Cold Radiance. Iconic UK dub techno pioneer JS Zeiter takes the baton on the ipside, having released his Turning Point EP on Hydergine’s Ranges label in 2017. Known for his engrossing Basic Channel in uenced pro- ductions, Zeiter here dips dreamily above and below the waterline.'

Tibi Dabo returns to Crosstown Rebels with his second EP of the year The Distance We Share. His third EP will follow in the Autumn in advance of his debut album forthcoming in 2021. Globally revered American producer David Morales turns in two outstanding remixes that demonstrate contrasting aspects of his illustrious career.

The Distance We Share sees beautiful melodies standing both individually and combined to create an ethereal atmosphere. Starting with golden keys that drop into a twinkling lullaby, rising and falling throughout the track before ending with danceable energy. Komorebi opens with melancholic chords, the bassline moves at a relaxed pace over a rhythm of hi-hats and cowbell, sensual distorted vocals and delicate chimes induce a feeling of romance. The first remix of Komorebi from David Morales sees him add his legendary Red Zone stamp of New York influenced house music, building tension with darker tones, chugging percussion and hypnotic loops. On the Diridim Mix Morales turns the vibe to that of his newest label, with classic soulful electronics adding a deep sense of warmth.

Still in its infancy, the Tibi Dabo project from Max Guardans has seen his unique emotive take on electronic music and sound design catch the attention of influential figureheads. His debut release the Ende EP on Sasha's Last Night on Earth imprint demonstrating his remarkable talent. With his determined attitude and unrelenting thirst for exploration impressing respected tastemaker Damian Lazarus, he was immediately signed to Crosstown Rebels. His last two EP’s Her Moon and Disbelieve on the imprint, initiating a run of unrelenting form that marks the start of big things to come.

Bonipso offers you, through his electronic music, an emotional journey mixing finely the soft and the raw. He evokes sadness, melancholy but also hope and the desire to dance. In short, quite basic and human emotions that tell a story.

When he was 25 yo, he created a small home studio and composed his first tracks with Ableton & midi controller keyboard. He has a diverse sound combining electronica and melodic house & techno. 

The end of 2021 is a turning point of his music career : his EP 'introspection' was released on the mythical ‘Feines tier’ label, distributed by Kompakt records. In only few days, it reached the 3th and 4th place of the TOP 10 Electronica & Indie dance releases on BEATPORT.
