After the positive feedback triggered by his collaboration with Ivan de la Rouch, the Madrid producer Rams surrounds himself with good remixer friends for his first EP on Espacio Cielo. "Down Of Time" is a slow, raw and hypnotic track and the Indygo remix masterfully plays with its elements in a more minimalistic and darker version.

I-Robots presents his 2020 "Frau" remix package, featuring 17 new versions divided into 2 parts. Each artist worked at the top of their games to make this an incredibly special record in which we see the original being taken freely in many interesting and different directions. Released in 2004, "Frau" to date is still one of I-Robots’ most popular works. Having as sources of inspiration the classic Charlie’s "Spacer Woman" and other pearls from the Italo golden era, it was immediately supported by IDJ Mag, Ivan Smagghe, 2Many DJs, Radio Slave, Sven Väth, Tiga, and Felix Da Housecat, just to name a few.

To review, we were given the innovative and acid remix made by Belgian duo Marching Machines. With a musical history that spans over 2 decades, their works can be found on important labels such as Wrong Era, Correspondant, Rotten City Files, and Nein Records. 

About their process, they said they got creative, isolating and editing a lot of sounds. “Even though it seems like we gave the track a headfuck, most sounds do come from the original record in some way. We changed the lyrics a little, now they refer to our love for sci-fi movies”, they said.

12 months older, 12 months wiser: Correspondant celebrate the end of a year we'll all be happy to see the back of with their annual V/A opus.

18 tracks deep, featuring old friends (Man Power, DC Salas, Juan Mclean and TERR) and new friends (Captain Mustache, Mala Ika, Franz Scala, INVŌKER) alike, 'Compilation 8' is a sonic silver lining to keep us marching through these strange times. Power-packed with every leftfield shade and flavour we've come to know and love Jennifer Cardini's label for. Dark disco, sexy synthwave, slo-mo cosmic funk and sleazy, dubby techno are all deep in the mix.

Highlights come in all forms and flavours, shapes and sizes from Man Power's moody, hypnotic opener 'Casual Loop' right the way through to Invoker's emotional breakbeat farewell 'Let The World Heal'. Elsewhere Damon Jee and Darlyn Vlys go full trance on 'Sin City', V takes on a cult Lithuanian classic from the mid 90s 'Insect Dance', Julian Stetter and Johannes Klingebiel collaborate for the very first time… And Rodion flips Jarle Brathen and Hard Ton's 'Master In Disguise' into an electro overture.

All this and stacks more; Correspondant have defied the curse of 2020 with musical innovation and premium positive vibrations. Keep on marching.

Andrey is an electronic musician, producer and mixing engineer, resident of the club "Skotny Dvor". Stas is a sound designer, theatre director and author of music for theatrical performances. So non-trivial synthesis, new media and club vibes meet classic arts and Russian percussion! The Apollonius EP contains three original tracks plus remixes by the likes of @roedeers and @shmlss making this record just a perfect club music ride. Vinyl diggers are appreciating the beautiful artwork of the limited and hand numbered edition on black plastic.
