No conventional musical instruments - all sound created from the noise produced by an MRI scanner in use -  Cut, altered and manipulated on computer - then fragments - samples processed with a granular synthesis engine and 'played'

Played during 'Brain month' after the Brain debate in Portsmouth Guildhall - May 3013

Used for 'Grey' part 1 - video projection piece - 14th June The Arts Catalyst London

Created as part of a Wellcome Trust 'Arts and Neuroscience' project - commissioned by The Arts Catalyst and working with Professor Simon Baron Cohen and team at the Autism Research centre at cambridge University (MRI original Sound files - thanks to ARC Cambridge)


Magnetic Resonance image alignment part 1

Experimental sound, published poet and visual artist, I have Aspergers and am synaesthetic so experience the sensory world in a very different way.  Always interested in minimalist and sequenced music since an early age I have been making 'computer sound' since 2007 using granular synthesis - Also an obsessive interest in hardware synthesizer designs, models and process. Showing sound and poetry work in 2011 led to requests to show on a wider scale. I am just starting to make a sequenced serial music score and installation with an Analogue Modular for a neuroscience art science project.
