When Bri was a mature student at Warwick University, one of the things I looked forward to most was the ‘clunk’ of a Jiffy bag on the front door-mat, almost invariably containing a cassette of his latest demos.  “Once I Found It” comes from one such, entitled “IHOHO RADIO”, which took the form of a pseudo radio broadcast with Bri as DJ.  It’s his voice you hear both announcing and talking all over this Polar Bear & The Rhubarbs classic – where are they now, eh?  
Once again, this is the only version of the song we have, hence being presented here as it appears on the original IHOHO cassette. The cover art is from one of Bri’s own  lyric books, the reason I’m able to be quite so precise about the date it was written…

Often Times Inside ~ One and Other

She Said:  This song started when Gary came up with this awesome groove and slick/sick synth line...I was hooked the minute that I heard it.  I so much enjoyed watching/listening as this piece grew layer by layer...Gary's awesome groove was born and then he came up with the concept...how we sometimes focus on the "outside" of things and really don't go to the root of the issue which, most often times lies inside...This one is a bit of a back and forth...question/answer kinda vibe between us...Gary came up with the beginning lyrics and then passed it off to me to come up with the ending ones...when we create, it truly is a back and forth, cyclical process...we truly do vibe off of each other as we go from verse to verse...and we have so much fun!!!   All credit goes to Gary for the vocal melodies ALL of the music and the entire production side of things...he has truly blown me away (once again) ...not only do i LOVE his voice so very. very  much and think he is an amazing writer...but, his guitars just do it for me...those walls of sound he creates with those heavy chords are just what i like and I find it a true honor that he continues to create such awesome music for us to sing upon :)

Well Jaime pretty much said everything I was gonna say except the kind words she said about me but I think she totally ROCKED her vocal and lyric on this piece and love her resonance on the chorus. She always finds these killer harmonies that really sound amazing to me and on this tune its no exception. We always have a great time going back and forth and forth and back as we build the tune. Another great "inisde" memory for me absolutely:) We are already working on another piece that will feature heavily Jaimes Piano and Im excited for that already as well !

The Field, The Stone, & The Flower

Their name sounds more like a gardening store franchise, The Field, The Stone & The Flower. Their music is sort of the same as their name. (The Field) Sometimes it's spacious and vast, almost free-jazz-ish. (The Stone) Sometimes it's rock-ish. (The Flower) Sometimes it's pretty and delicate. 

Who they are. 3 multi-instrumentalists, 3 recording engineers, 3 producers, 2 mastering engineers, 2 mixing engineers, 3 singers, 2 guitarists, 3 bass players, 2 drummers, 3 percussionists, 2 tea drinkers, 3 beer drinkers, 3 wine drinkers, 3 nature lovers, 3 comedians.

They are new. They've been around now, here in 2018 for about 2 years. They are very open to the idea of collaborating with others and often have guest musicians on their recordings. They record in their respective studios and work by sending files of songs back and forth.
