Dj/producer Jook10 arrived on the underground scene in 2009 pushing the ukfunky sound in a different direction ,with influences from garage to jungle/d&b & house , the new bass heavy sound pushed the boundaries out to a darker side of the genre ,taking the jumpy drums from ukfunky & adding gritty signature bass sounds & synths to create a vibe unlike many others at the time .
The Reading based artist had been mixing house/garage & d&b from an early age but knew if he wanted to stand out from rest he would have to come with something unique if he wanted to break into the dj circuit which is why he believed mixing predominantly his own beats. With support from some big djs including Marcus Nasty , dj pioneer and none other than EZ himself he managed to reach out to the London faithfull & across the uk & beyond with other djs playing jook 10's beats all over the world .With a number of guest mix shows on rinse fm and resident bi weekly shows on flex fm jook 10 was able to showcase new material on a regular basis and gain experience in bringing new music to the masses.

With a string of successfull releases including "The Beginning "  & "Emotions " jook 10 joined forces with fellow dj/ producer Sundayroast  to set up their own label called Soulserious Records which debuted on Juno download in 2009 & since have around 20 Eps between them clearly demonstrating their hunger, work rate levels of intention & commitment to succeed in the underground music scene .Slowly but surely bookings started to come in including events around London, Ayia napa , Belgium,Birmingham , Southampton , Reading .During the success of soulserious records Jook10 also drew attention from other record labels and as a result had releases on SOS & vex records including remixes for Sinden and various other artists .Jook 10 never fails to suprise & bring distinctive fresh sounds to each and every set which has helped  him make a name for himself & gain recognition from some of the top djs in the Uk bass scene. Jook 10 has supported some top djs and artists including Wiley , Kano , Newham generals , cause & affect , Martin Ikin to name a few he has also had tracks included in 2 different fabric live compilations mixed by jack master & dj Ez as well as getting air play on kiss 100 & radio 1xtra. With the U.K. Bass scene growing each year there couldn't be a better time for jook10 to get out there and do what he does best , the dream is to perform at festivals and continue to support and build within the underground scene and beyond.
