I create Press & Promotional campaigns to promote new music releases. Predominantly 'Underground House', 'Techno', bit of 'Balearic' and my beloved 'Disco'.   I'd like to think I have a very personal approach, working with friends & contacts simply sharing great music over a chat. I choose only to work with music I adore, so you can be sure I'll be passionate when I am promoting your stuff . I strive to get your release placed, mentioned and played in all of the 'relevant' places as well as getting the 'right people' to endorse it. I'll provide you with good quality feedback to help drive the sales of your release pre launch as well as placing physical records into the hands of VIP players.  As with these things.. it's hard to predict exactly what we will achieve... but what I can promise is that I'll throw a hell of a lot passion and enthusiasm at it and that, coupled with my track record so far,  the result shouldn't be  too shabby. In my opinion it takes a lot of love, time and hard work crafting your release. Investing in what I do, pushes it into the spotlight, giving your release the best possible chance to succeed..

Makin' Moves was set up in the Summer 2012, a new music and events company set up by Matt Langrish-Smith and Jamesey D. Makin' Moves nurtures up and coming talent, aswell as collaborating with established names. Matt has a wealth of experience under his belt having previously worked for dance independents Papa Records and Tribe Records UK, an internationally acclaimed label and events company. Jamesey, along with hosting his own radio show on www.housefm.net since 2004, has been an essential cog in the wheel of London's soulful & deep house scene, independently performing at most of the major parties in London swell as guest spots abroad in Japan, New York and Dubai. 

The label has seen a heavy output of quality releases this year from the likes of Dazzle Drums from Japan, DJ Fudge & Hallex M from Hong Kong and UK soul singer Omar, Gianluca Pighi & Massimo Paramour from Italy and Tiger Wilson from New York all of which have reached the top positions on digital promo store Traxsource.com.

Naarm/Melbourne-based Close Counters’ diverse soundscape sits at the crossroads of house, neo-soul, broken beat and disco. Their 2023 Music Victoria Award-winning album, ‘SOULACOASTA II’ secured their spot as one of the top talents in their class, with the duo tirelessly sourcing niche samples from films and records on trips across the globe. The LP was touted by tastemakers Gilles Peterson, Folamour, Jamz Supernova and landed Album Features with Australian stations Double J, 3RRR, PBS and 2SER. Breakout singles from the pack were originally released by Melvo Baptiste’s The Remedy Project, an imprint of Defected Records.

Their collab 'Rollout' with Young Franco, Scrufizzer and Jay Prince, won over fans across the globe and was added to the Official Soundtrack for acclaimed video game FIFA 23, and have been synced for Apple’s recent iPhone campaign. In the past year the band have also performed for triple j, 3RRR, Defected Radio, FBi Radio, Soho Radio NYC, Baked, and interviewed on BBC Radio 1Xtra on tour recently, and when hotly tipped as their ‘After Dark Discovery’ and ‘EP of the Week’ (‘FLUX’, 2022).

The duo expands up to a 7-piece tour-de-force with live-mapped visuals, dancers and featured musicians and vocalists from their wider collective and they’ve continuously sold out their hometown Naarm/Melbourne dates, notching impressive shows at Sidney Myer Music Bowl, sold out dates at 170 Russell, Corner Hotel, The Night Cat, and packed-out rooms across Australia’s east coast. Support duties have flowed from Madlib, Sofi Tukker, Crazy P Soundsystem, Tall Black Guy, to local mates Confidence Man and The Jungle Giants, betwixt bucket-list festivals Splendour in the Grass, Falls Festival, Let Them Eat Cake, Strawberry Fields, Meredith Music Festival, MONA FOMA, Party in the Paddock and showcasing at BIGSOUND, Electronic Music Conference and three sold-out Melbourne Music Week events.

The band recently finished their UK & EU summer ticking off Lost Village Festival, Manchester Jazz Festival, Defected Malta and Cabaret Sauvage. In London, they sold Ronnie Scott's, did 180 tickets at Ninety One Living Room, packed out Hootananny Brixton and landed a sold out Jazz Café support for Somewhere Soul's showcase with Cotonete. The band have also played packed sets in Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam, Monaco, Brighton and featured behind the decks at ADE, Defected Croatia, Reflektor in Belgium with A-Trak, and are returning for Brick Lane Jazz Festival in April 2025.

Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy is a highly respected and experienced musical selector, DJ, radio host and curator, founder of the album listening event and content hub Classic Album Sundays and an authority on music, sound and the vinyl renaissance.
 
She was mentored by David Mancuso at his seminal Loft parties in New York City. Together they co-produced the compilation series David Mancuso Presents The Loft and worked together on David’s record label The Loft Audiophile Library of Music. In 2000, David told Time Out New York City “She is very devoted and very pure about the music. She’s one of the only people I would trust, both with the music and with the equipment, to fill in for me.” She was asked by David to help manage his legacy and continues to be one of the musical hosts at The Loft in NYC. She is also the co-founder of the Lucky Cloud Loft parties in London and DJs internationally on the world's best sound systems and dance floors.

Colleen hosts Cosmodelica, a monthly radio show on Worldwide FM selected by Time Out as one of the 10 best shows in London. She is now bringing Cosmodelica to the dancefloor to high-end audio venues like London’s Giant Steps and New York City’s Public Records. In March she is hosting a Cosmodelica residency at the Prince of Wales with special guests.

In 2019 Colleen was nominated into the DJ Mag North America Hall of Fame and launched Love Dancin’ Sound System at Gilles Peterson’s We Out Here Festival, sharing some of her musical and sonic passions to dancers outside of her existing communities to rave reviews. She will once again host the Love Dancin’ tent at We Out Here in 2020.

In the last few years Colleen has brought her uplifting musical energy to other festivals including Houghton where she has hosted a marathon set every year since its inception and is returning in 2020. She has played alongside Gilles Peterson for his closing party at his Worldwide Festival, a headline closing set at Dekmantel Selectors 2019 and sets at Kala Festival, Lost Village, One Day at the Disco, Flow Festival and Umbria Jazz Festival.

She hosted one of the most popular disco sets for Boiler Room and has recently been featured as the subject of a podcast for Resident Advisor. DJ Mag UK featured a lengthy long-read article about her in August 2019.

 Her Classic Album Sundays platform tells the stories behind the albums that have shaped our culture and in some cases, our lives. Colleen founded Classic Album Sundays as a stance against the increasing devaluation of music and sound. What began as a passion project is now the world’s most popular album listening event with satellites in four continents and the website and social media channels host content on classic albums and artists such as interviews, videos, playlists and more. BBC Breakfast Television remarked, “Classic Album Sundays treat our best-loved records like great symphonies.” She has hosted events with amazing talent such as Jarvis Cocker, Guy Garvey, Laura Mvula, Max Richter, John Grant, Pink Floyd’s Nick Mason and many more.
 
Colleen has been a radio host, DJ and programme director since the age of fourteen and today hosts Cosmodelica and Classic Album Sundays Worldwide on Worldwide FM and ‘This Women’s Work’ series for Public Radio International. She is the writer and host of BBC 6 Music’s album series ‘Sounds of a City’ and BBC Radio 4’s doc series ‘Turntable Tales’. Unfold Japan, a radio series she hosted for Worldwide FM and Asahi, has recently been nominated for an ARIA Award (Audio and Radio Industry Awards).

Immersed in music from a young age, Suze Ijó's path inevitably led her into the world of song and dance. The Rotterdam native found herself drawn to dancing and collecting records; a passion that notched up a level after she became a First Floor member.

A communal hub that used to exist in her home city, the space was designed for music lovers to come together to play, listen and talk, as well as collaborate on private events that are influenced by David Mancuso's infamous Loft parties.

That Loft manifesto feeds into the sounds in her own DJ sets too, whether in the booth or on the waves. From infectious Chicago house to uplifting 80s cuts and warm, soulful grooves; the mood transports you back to the heydays where dance floors were becoming spaces for freedom, self-expression and connection. It's music to bring people together, music to get you moving, and music to lose yourself in.
