It's made me think a lot about our digital footprints, and how much of ourselves still "lives" online after we pass to the other side. Online, my Mom is still alive. Her posts, those pictures she shared, will remain fresh in the digital realm even if everything falls apart IRL.

When my Mom passed away, we had to keep her death a secret. There was no obituary, no online posts. It felt like the world had ended, but no one knew. I felt myself looking up at the sky and feeling angry that it was so beautiful - and that she wasn't there to see it. This song is inspired by some of those thoughts and feelings.
