Elisa Batti sets are purebred techno, ranging from hypnotic and deep to vibrant, groovy and energetic. When she plays, she always strive to add her own personal touch, leading the crowd through a journey. 

Elisa Batti has acquired her experience in the music scene not only as a DJ but also as a producer, sound designer, and tech developer for theaters, festivals, and art installations. She has released music on numerous labels, exploring everything from straight 4-on-the-floor techno to more abstract glitchy and ambient sounds, always careful to craft her own unique sonic palette. Her work as a sound designer has taken her around the world, from the Palais de Tokyo in Paris to the Taiwan National Theater, among other notable venues where her creations have been showcased. Additionally, Elisa Batti is the founder and label head of Immaterial Archives, established in 2018, which has since featured many talented producers from the techno scene.

Elisa Batti is a polyhedric artist that roots her career on a very heterogeneous background. All her activities though can be summoned under a few simple words: electronic music, art and technology.

For her music is art, music is culture and this is at the foundation of her love for techno.

@elisa-batti is a sound designer, pro­ducer and media artist based in Ams­ter­dam. Her activ­ity is diver­si­fied between a spec­trum of dif­fer­ent projects, all of them con­nected through one red line: elec­tronic music.

Her music has been released on various electronic and techno labels such as Semantica, Artaphine, Diffuse Reality, Collective Details, One Instrument, West Rules, Observant.

She started her career in 2007, work­ing for the con­tem­po­rary dance scene, exper­i­ment­ing with soft­wares and sounds, cre­at­ing sound­tracks and land­scapes for chore­o­g­ra­phers.

Through the years she has been working for various choreographers and media developers  (Albert van Abbe, Artes Mobiles, Andreas Hannes, Federica Dauri, Elisa Zuppini, Ola Maciewska,..) and her work have been presented in many venues worldwide such as Palais de Tokyo (Paris), ElbPhilarmonie (Hamburg)  Tai­wan National The­ater (Taiwan) , Santar­can­gelo Fes­ti­val (Bologna), Fusion Fes­ti­val (Berlin), ZKM ( Karlsruhe).

In the last years her interest in sound spatializations led her becoming one of the advisors and tutors at the IDLAB in Amsterdam, where she is currently helping and facilitating artists with their sound spatialization. 

She is also active in the techno scene as a producer, label owner of Immaterial.Archives and DJ.  Such a var­ied approach to the music is also due to Elisa’s back­ground, which is not strictly artis­tic. She grad­u­ated as envi­ron­men­tal engi­neer and got a PhD and two Post Docs at the Tech­ni­cal Uni­ver­sity of Delft. After a period teaching Thermodynamics at the Anton de Kim University in Suriname, she is cur­rently work­ing at TNO, the Netherlands Institute of research in the Energy Transition team.

Adrenaline | Aloka

Finally, I'm ready to share a piece of my debut at Tresor last year, a moment that's taken some time to process and articulate. This podcast is an extract of my 3-hour set, though due to recording issues, it doesn't capture the very beginning or end.  Playing for the New Faces series at Tresor was a real honour, and a chance to contribute to a respected platform within the scene.  It felt like a significant milestone, a culmination of years spent absorbing and internalizing the power of techno. The invitation was truly appreciated, a chance to delve into the core of what drew me to this music in the first place.

I wanted this set to be a sonic representation of my journey – not just as a DJ, but as a listener, a dancer, a creative spirit. It was about capturing the layers of influence, the complex emotions, the raw energy that fuels my connection to music. It was about translating the intangible – the feeling of being completely lost in a rhythm, the shared experience of the dancefloor – into something tangible, something that could resonate with others.

Sharing the lineup with Charlie and Strangerkat was a real highlight. Both are artists I deeply respect, and connecting with them before and after the set added another dimension to the night. The Tresor staff were also incredibly welcoming, creating an atmosphere of support and genuine enthusiasm.

Warming up presented a unique opportunity. It allowed me to craft a narrative arc, to begin in a space of introspection, exploring deeper, more ambient textures, before gradually layering in the elements that build tension and propel the night forward. The booth itself was a dream – the sound, the energy, the sense of connection to the crowd. Everything felt aligned.

That night in Berlin, I felt truly present, completely alive. It was a powerful reminder of why I do what I do. There was a sense of inevitability, a feeling that I was exactly where I was supposed to be. The pull of this city, the pulse of its music scene, has always been strong.

This experience has only fueled my desire to keep pushing myself, to keep exploring the depths of sound and emotion. I'm already looking forward to returning to Tresor, perhaps for a Klubnacht set in a different space, to continue this journey and share even more of what lives in my heart and mind.  I'm grateful to Tresor and the New Faces concept for this incredible opportunity. I hope this excerpt offers a glimpse into the sonic landscape I explored that night. More than anything, I hope you enjoy the journey.

Bosnian-built and -bred Sev Dah may be a Swedish expat, but the Balkan blackness clings strongly to the bleak percussions and rigidly uneasy synthetics that unwillingly fuse into his strongly individual take on techno. Authentically purveying the pulsations of the nakedly throbbing and ugly world, far away from Starbucks and H&M. 

Signed to respected labels such as Random Island, Mote-Evolver and Kaiser's KSR, he quickly gnawed his way into the scene’s core of DJs and producers. Sev is even managing new projects on his own label Proletarijat since 2016. Like a rabid mongrel, since 1998 he has been chewing and belching new bastard beats that are aching to scream out. Consequently there’s a steaming and steady stream of vinyl releases coming.

With influences ranging from Stigmata and Mills to Master Reese and Petar Dundov, Sev Dah is a versatile but headstrong DJ that can gently ease a thumb in at midnight or fervently thrust it down the hatch at peak time.

Das Kauz – mein absoluter Lieblingsclub in Zürich.
Unzählige Nächte habe ich in diesem gemütlichen Keller verbracht, tanzend, lauschend und vollkommen in der Musik versunken. Dort durfte ich einigen meiner Lieblings-DJs zuhören und magische Momente erleben.

Und nun war es endlich soweit – ich stand selbst hinter den Decks. Es hätte nicht besser laufen können: Eine fantastische Energie erfüllte den Raum, wundervolle Menschen tanzten und feierten zu meiner Musik, und für mich wird dieser Abend wohl unvergesslich bleiben.

Leider ist dies das einzige vollständige Set der Nacht – kurz vor 2 Uhr fiel aufgrund eines Defekts an der Starkstromleitung plötzlich alles aus, und das für den Rest der Nacht. Umso dankbarer bin ich, dass diese Aufnahme erhalten geblieben ist.

The Kauz – my absolute favorite club in Zurich.
I've spent countless nights in this cozy basement, dancing, listening, and completely lost in the music. There, I had the privilege of hearing some of my favorite DJs and experiencing magical moments.

And then, the time had finally come – I was behind the decks myself. It couldn’t have gone any better: the room was filled with fantastic energy, wonderful people danced and celebrated to my music, and for me, this night will likely remain unforgettable.

Unfortunately, this is the only complete set from that night – shortly before 2 AM, a power failure due to a defect in the high-voltage line shut everything down for the rest of the night. That makes me even more grateful that this recording was preserved.

Thank you to all the dancers and to Kauz and its crew!

💭 Grounding gleicht einer Superkraft, erstaunlich was die Verbindung zur Erde alles schafft. Es stärkt Wohlbefinden und Selbstvertrauen, so dermaßen einfach, ich kann es selbst kaum glauben. Doch es ist wirklich wahr, mit den Füßen in der Erde entfalte ich mein volles Potenzial.

🎵 Heute ist DJ AndArc aus dem Süden Schwedens mit einem Podcast auf KataHaifisch zu Gast. Sein Sound jongliert in der Spähre von Bounce, Indie Dance, Deep und Tech House und verbindet drückende Basslines mit hypnotischen Rhythmen und einer konstanten Energieübertragung. Mit diesem Set erschafft er genau diesen Zustand. Der Einstieg bleibt entspannt und die ersten Grooves rollen weich und bouncig an. Währenddessen verdichtet sich die Atmosphäre langsam aber sicher. Stück für Stück wächst die Intensität, die Energie nimmt zu, bis das Set mit kraftvollen Peak Time Tracks in einer druckvollen Schlussphase mündet. Gotshell made a debut on BlueprintRecords​ in collaboration with KERO​ and appeared on Various Artists compilation chosen by Lewis Fautzi​ on Faut Section. He impressed also three times on Nachtstrom Schallplatten​ realising hard hitting EPs which one of them includes remixes of Eric Fetcher​ and Scalameriya​.
