The Prayer Song is very dear to us, as it expresses many of the teachings and wisdom of the esoteric and spiritual traditions that we have embraced in our lives and which have helped and guided us through many phases and stages of our lives.
Also some of those teachers are actually a part of the song and in the recording.
We wish, hope and pray that this song also will help and guide all those who listen to it.

To us this song is fundamentally about connecting with nature and the Divine, asking for healing to all of creation.
Harmonising ourself with all the forces of the universe and creative life force that runs through all of creation.

Giving thanks to nature all around as well as the elements and forces that makes us who we are. 
And giving thanks to all the indigenous peoples of this world.

Prayer Song

Steppe was born after Sigmund K. Vatvedt attended a Huun Huur Tu concert in Oslo. After the concert he felt very inspired by the rich, mystical and enchanted Tuvan tradition. He picked up his world stick, which is a 3 stringed dulcimer, and immediately the song came to him.
The song consists of mostly vocalisation and Tuvan language and expresses the joy of being free in an open grass landscape surrounded by mountains and nature. Riding your horse freely in the endless open steppe. The song has also clear influences by the Sami tradition of north Norway, and is inspired by the joik tradition.
To capture the feel and the atmosphere that he wanted for the song,. Sigmund reached out to Radik Tyulyush and asked for his contribution. Radik is a steady member of the group Huun Huur Tu, which is a world famous group touring extensively around the world performing their music with throat and overtone singing, which originates in Tuva. 
They are considered great masters of the technic and ambassadors of the Siberian and Tuvan culture. Radik plays several ethnic traditional instruments on the track and sings in the traditional style. Giving the song a rich and broad spectrum of sounds and melodies.

Steppe

A musical story that is very dear to our hearts, as it expresses our journey together once again.
This song came in a powerful moment of healing for us both and through us both, bringing hope and joy with it.
When we sang it for the first time it opened another dimension in our musical co- creation and introduced a glimpse into the New Earth that is emerging as the tides are turning.
The feminine spirit of nature with her healing wisdom is calling and singing to awaken us from our slumber. As we are searching far and wide for truth and freedom, for deep peace and contentment, simple happiness and fulfilment.

This search has taken us to many places in the world, and each place and meeting has given us another hint, a clue, a step, a guidance to search more and more each time inward, as we connect with nature.
Turning our gaze inward and seeing that our heart is a forever limitless oasis, a sacred sanctuary, the longed-for home. Where peace and joy resides.
And where the story of Life is a forever continuous one.
This exploration and expansion of our heart and soul is a neverending story and this is also what the song speaks about.

A Neverending Story

The meaning of the Norwegian word “Eventyret” is “fairytale” or "adventure". The song takes us on an adventure throughout the world, through many landscapes, seasons and various states of being. 
The song correlates to the previous release, The Beginning, 
where the seeker makes the decision to start the Journey. 
From there starts the adventure of the fairytale.
The lyrics take the listener along through a mystical fairytale,
that life can offer to the ones who dare to open up to the magic of life. Where one can meet several magical creatures, that guide them on their way.
The foundation of the song comes from the old storyteller tradition of the bard, presented and transformed into a modern interpretation of this ancient tradition, which guides the seeker through myths and legends that can inspire and help the ones who listen carefully.
The final message that is revealed to the traveler, is that in the midst of all the enchantment and chaos, 
do not fear but stay present and continue the journey.

Eventyret

The beginning portraits the first steps taken by the seeker, after having received /heard the calling. It marks the beginning of the conscious choice to undertake/undergo the journey of spiritual awakening, guided by the revelation of unity with the whole creation.
The journey that has no real beginning and no real end, even though the conscious choice has a beginning.
The song paints an intricate pattern of the ebb and flow of the life's many cycles. It aims to make the listener aware of the many miracles of life, reflected in the deep mysteries of creation, leading to the awareness of the oneness of all things.

The songs meditative and comforting melodies ensures that the quest is safe, and the journey ahead is full of wonders and magic.
While the debut single is a song of energetic life force to awaken the listeners consciousness, the second release builds a safe comforting foundation for the seeker to begin the journey.
The song is held by the harmonic voices of Sigmund Vatvedt and Rutt Treima. The melodic use of the classical guitar gives a lyrical accompaniment, while clever use of the double bass grounds the song. Tin whistle and violins form a colourful background with a playful dialog between them. Together they form a dreamy and harmonious sound picture that comforts the listener to begin the journey.

The Beginning

The song’s genesis was born at the River of Jordão , in the Brazilian Amazon, where Sigmund has spent long periods studying with the native people and was completed in Norway. 
The song merges various indigenous shamanic cultures of the north, south and west and is a call for the spirit to awaken from the deep slumber of modern life. To begin the journey of attaining freedom and the meeting point between polarities. To awaken the indwelling divinity that lies in the heart and soul of all Life.

The title of this song refers to a specific group of chants. 
They are used by shamans in various cultures, referred to as “callings” in order to summon certain energies. 
This song is a calling to awaken and is also a “calling” by itself, therefore it has no lyrics from a specific language. Even so the word Heya can be found in many languages, and one of the many translations is "Spirit.”
