We’ve anticipated mixing this set for Flow Sessions for quite some time. Week after week great music is released and too often many of these beautiful tunes get lost in our archives, especially those released in 2020. Having honed his craft under a different moniker for years, Thomasson sensed the call to channel his creative fervor into the realm of downtempo. With unwavering dedication, he immersed himself in the lush melodies and hypnotic rhythms that defined his sound.

Swiftly carving his path through the musical landscape, Thomasson found himself gracing the stages of renowned clubs like Tanzhaus West, Arche*Ahoi, Waagenbau, and Viertel Klub. His magnetic presence behind the decks, coupled with his distinct sonic signature, swiftly established him as a beacon of Bunte Kuh Records, illuminating the way for fellow enthusiasts of the genre.

RAAFAT born in Damascus, Syria and currently residing in Germany, discovered his passion for the electronic music scene in 2014 in Berlin, during his first visit to the legendary Katerblau. Since then, his love for music has flourished, leading him to begin mixing and producing music from various artists upon relocating to Marburg. He particularly focuses on genres like techno, house, psytech, downtempo, and midtempo.

RAAFAT has already graced the stages of renowned clubs and festivals in Holland and Germany, including venues like Weelde Rotterdam, Levantine House with The Garden of Babylon, and Kabinett der Kuriositäten in Frankfurt. Additionally, he has released several works on esteemed labels such as The Garden of Babylon, Katahaifisch, Planet Ibiza, and Cosmovision Records, as well as his own tracks.

His distinctive sound, characterized by luminous synthesizers and profound melodies, evokes deep emotions on the dancefloor.

This episode by RAAFAT reflects his current emotions, creating an atmosphere that offers an escape from worldly events while simultaneously inviting relaxation or dancing. His music fosters unity among people and encourages contemplation of fundamental human values, inspiring both movement and introspection.

As a DJ and committed social educator, RAAFAT advocates for peace, humanity, democracy, and human rights. He believes in the universal language of music and aims to unite people worldwide through music via @galaxyofsounds.
