The Asylum is the second single from Metalogue & Fluff's collaborative album 'Slate Horizons.
Industrial and dark like the rest of the album, 'The Asylum' uses quite a conventional song structure and lyrics, while playing with distortion, big sounds, glitches and layers of vocal textures.

BIO: Independent Music / Film / Theater Producer, Musician, Mixing / Mastering Engineer and Multimedia Production Specialist with over forty years of experience in the entertainment and multimedia design industries. 

I worked with a broad spectrum of clients in both the entertainment industry and corporate sectors. 

My expertise has been achieved through nearly five decades of professional involvement in documentary video, feature film and music production, audio recording and engineering, stage design and theatrical production, multimedia and graphic design, investigative journalism and project management.

"I'm not a good talker, so music becomes my voice." 

I'm an east London producer, song writer, sound designer and vocalist. 'Fluff' is my solo project. (I'm the other half of trip-hop duo www.soundcloud.com/silverstreaks). 

Fluff-music combines traditional songwriting, indie, electronic, goth, ethereal/synth pop and experimental/cinematic sound design into powerful, emotional sound scapes. Manipulated field recordings and audio textures add suggestive sounds to evoke raw and visceral emotions in the listener. 

Influences: 
Indie/art rock, darkwave and the electroclash scene in the mid 00s.

'Down the Rabbit Hole' is a reflection on our world as it is today. Greedy, destructive, homogenised, selfish and exploitative. But we're resilient creatures. There are some fun, light-hearted tongue-in-cheek stories of adaptation and survival by becoming pretty fabulous.

A dark, sonic post-apocalyptic nightmare vision, dealing with events of the recent past, present and not so distant future: Social apathy, lethargy and indifference, public obedience, compliance and conformity, social paranoia, genetic mutations, nuclear threat, post apocalypse and human extinction.
