Birthed between the burning fields of Kansas and the surreal landscape of the New Mexican desert, Black Vines is a dense layering of monophonic drones, delayed sitar and large scale cello arrangements. 

Combining the distorted and blackened influence of Aaron Martin’s recent solo and collaborative work with Joseph Angelo’s love of ragas, industrial noise and meditative minimalism, the eight elegiac strands of Black Vines are tribute to redemptive growth that occurs in the shadows.

Mastered by James Plotkin, featuring tracks reworked from the original parts by Dag Rosenqvist with stunning artwork by Chris Koell.

Packaging includes letter-pressed covers, glass mastered CD, 10 x limited edition prints on heavy card stock with glassine bags, all resting inside hand numbered, scented black envelopes. Limited edition of 200 copies!

’Global’, first advance from the forthcoming album ‘REDES’. 
This album were written and recorded in winter 2021/2022 in his mountain house-Onix II Studio on the outskirts of Barcelona city. 

“The art of repetition has always been central to Bruno Sanfilippo’s work; loops and short passages of notes creating a hypnotic, mesmerizing soundscape. ‘GLOBAL’ is no different, a thoughtful, serene track that swirls lush synths, strings, and woodwind around a looped synthesizer motif to create the emotional resonance Sanfilippo is so adept at” 

'REDES’ – it means ‘Networks’ in Spanish – may be a departure from Sanfilippo’s usual, piano-led compositions, but it’s no less captivating or thoughtful. Deeply emotional and tender, it’s one of his most profound works to date – nine tracks full of gentle synth washes, soft intricate details, and warm electronic textures.

"I often", Bruno explains, "tackle universal themes in my music, expressing emotions that aren’t easily defined. We have never been as connected to each other as we are at this point in history. Ephemeral but extensive, our bonds have multiplied thanks to social media and new and fascinating technologies; ‘connectivity’, ‘signal’, ‘followers’, ‘crypto’… We are increasingly defined by those connections and bonds, both real and digital, and ‘REDES’ is my deconstruction of that idea"

The album ‘REDES’ will be released on September 16 on Compact Disc as well as on all streaming platforms through ad21.

sleepy yet still containing subtle movement, floating threads is intended as an aid to meditation, and is inspired by the dreamstate between the conscious and unconscious. all of the sounds in the track  - with the exception of the grounding bass - are originally based on acoustic instruments such as piano and tongue drum. the long reverb tails in the higher frequencies are intentionally 'breath-like', drawing the listener in to a state of tranquility and inner peace...
