We are proud to present the fifth instalment of the Pal’s compilation, with talent from across the globe, coming together to create a collection to soundtrack these strange days.

First up, Aural Trace sets the scene with the slow burning celestial soundscapes of ‘Melange’, where choral overtones curl up snuggly along the drum machine, fusing organic and mechanics.

The influence of the Cologne School seeps through every pour of M Love’s ‘Oboda’ with warm analogue melodies oozing throughout. 
Churning distorted guitars twist between the throbbing tribal drums of Mufti’s 'Fascinatio'.

Marzian’s 'Conversaciones Delirantes' pulls us through a psychedelic shapeshifting bass heavy prism of sound. Sharp stabs cut through the bass on Flvn’s ‘Yule’, no mistake, this could soundtrack a slasher movie in-spite of its festive title.

Leo af Ekenstam’s ‘Stress’ carries a tense, yet driving groove punctuated by nervous guitars and shady atmospherics. 

A bubbling bit-crushed low end permeates Montessori’s 'Speed Dating’s dark EBM tinged muscular workout.

Stockholm Syndrome teams up with Lusca to craft a pumping retro synth infused stomper which twists and jitters from the opening bars to the last refrain.

Cabizbajo and Colossio also combine their production talent to create the cavernous feedback driven echofest of ‘Ley’ with twisted arpeggios and animal like sounds dancing in and around the drums.

Manner of Speaking play out with ‘the Unknown’, a brooding instrumental downtempo track which strikes a literal and figurative chord with the collective consciousness this past year.

Black Light Smoke - Heat Flash (The Hacker Remix)

Celebrating 9000 followers on the Feinstoff Soundcloud we have a contribution from Stockholm's very own rising star Marcus Christiansen. 

With inspiration taken from Musumeci, Phunkadelica and Multinotes, Marcus set out to make a track that would fit his friend's label Magenta, hence the track's name. With Marcus' signature, tom fills and driving bassline Magenta was supposed to be a hybrid between Italo and the deeper melodic side of house music.

Raised on computer games, science fiction and hockey anthems. It's no surprise that Marcus' music sounds the way it does. Playful melodies in a futuristic environment are presented in a big way—like an anthem is supposed to. 

Marcus' dj-sets could best be described as a retrospective journey into the future, taking on a lot of inspiration from the 80s and 90s with a strong focus on Italo, Dark Disco and EBM, as well as Synthwave and a hint of Trance.

Hamburg's favorite cosmic disco trio RSS Disco surprises us with an early first taste of their upcoming album "Mooncake". Starting the journey is the vibey "Tan Lines & Fizzy Wine". We’re very happy to welcome on board JackWasFaster for our 12th release at LATIDO.
JackWasFaster, born and based in Madrid, has spent the last few years contributing to the effervescent Spanish scene with releases/remixes on Rotten City, Factor City, Latido or Playground. He has played live/dj sets at Sonar, FIB, Brunch, Mad Cool, Paraiso, Mondo or Razzmatazz. His tracks have been played and supported by many artists that we admire such us Andrew Weatherall, Massimiliano Pagliara, Curses, Terr, Echonomist or Mugwump to name a few.
In this new Ep, The South, Manu Cachero shows some of his main hallmarks. Thrilling synths, intoxicating and unexpected melodies, and a cosmic and synthetic envelope that teleports you to a new dimension. From the detuned and intricate synth lines of the sparkling title track, to the acid rush of “Silver Ships”, to end up on the killer and mental bassline of “It Started In Jamaica”.
Along with the three original tracks on the EP, there are two amazing remixes by the unmistakable Freudenthal, and the always forceful Señora, to make The South a magnificent Ep.

Alejandro Gamba is the mastermind behind the Cosmosolar project. The veteran Argentinian producer, whose first endeavours in the underground electronic music realm commenced more than twenty years ago, successfully manages to bring together the many influences he has amassed during such a spell in order to deliver his vision of dance-floor-oriented underground electronic music. EBM, New Wave, Post-Punk, Techno, Trance, and House come together and give birth to an interesting concoction issued on vital Indie Dance/Dark Disco platforms such as Phisica, Logia, Maleante, NEIN, Discos Prohibidos, Modula, and Espacio Cielo, just to name a few. He is now back on the latter with the “Immaginazione” EP featuring two fresh originals and their respective reinterpretations made with love by master Parissior (SXDNS206) and promising Size M.

With a discography still in the dawn of its trajectory, Size M debuts on the Spanish powerhouse with an intelligent take on “Misterio En La Disco”. Aiming the peak time, he managed to keep most of the main elements of the solid original in his rework, including the frolic gait, and paved the way to the injection of more stamina by spicing things up with the increase of the BPM from 120 to 125. The addition of extra arpeggios, synth layers, and speech-like vocals resulted in a proper showcase of his capabilities and inventiveness. Let’s keep an eye on the lad, shall we?

For his EP on Roam, Darlyn Vlys offers two new original works. Bernardo Barrera, one half of Los Fugazzi, but best known as @https://soundcloud.com/muftimx , delivers two tracks full to the brim with guitar licks, analogue squelches, dark corners, creative juice and a generous dose of serotonin.

@https://soundcloud.com/middleskyboom works the arpeggiator on his remix of 'Mess my Mind', making use of the stuttering vocals and slicing guitar licks of the original, while creating a unique interpretation of Bernardo's track, restructuring and re-crafting Mufti's original, to deliver a paranoid yet quirk fuelled remix.

KOMPAKT welcomes back three dear friends – Copenhagen’s WhoMadeWho. Tomas Barfod’s penchant for electronic music poetically juxtaposed with Tomas Høffding and Jeppe Kjellberg’s respective backgrounds in rock and jazz, gives their music an electrifying combination of sounds, merging a variety of influences to produce a unique sonic fingerprint that is emotive, irresistible and immensely satisfying.

Though we both have yet to strike a note together since the release of their 2012 full length “Brighter” (KOM 254), WhoMadeWho have been remarkably productive. With two full lengths, a DJ mix for Watergate’s series and releasing two of 2019’s most played out club tracks together with Rampa (Innervisions) and Artbat (Watergate Records), the trio have found themselves diving more and more into the world of electronic music, tapping into their goldmine of connections within the scene to spearhead an array of collaborations.

The result is Synchronicity – a full length album to be released on November 13th.

The final chapter of our EP series is “Synchronicity III” – Kompakt’s fearless leader Michael Mayer joins forces with the trio to produce an outlandishly catchy house excursion. A throbbingly sexy groove twists around a nonsensically fun robo-disco vocal. Terr makes serious waves these days – from her exceptional releases on Phantasy, Correspondant, Permanent Vacation to released and operating own imprint Clash Lion they come up with “Falling Out” – an exclusive to this EP. This is the ultimate duet – her vocals harmonise with the band under flow with the perfect rhythm and beat of disco-fied refinement. Next up is Rebolledo – Mexico’s ambassador of dance floor devotion and one half of the legendary Pachanga Boys. A dear friend to the house of Kompakt. “Chaser” fuels those travellers of the night – a soundtrack for another dimension. Last but not least, fans will rejoice as Adana Twins return with a second collaboration together with the band. The clang of the cowbell is clear as a twisted guitar twangs to an ominous 4/4 rhythm.
