Cool Track catchy beats and arps and mesmerizing vocals!

Cook Strummer (@cook-strummer) has complied the latest Berlin Gets Physical (@get-physical-music)but first comes a second EP taken from it with two fresh cuts.

Berlin-born Pardon Moi and Feinstoff founder, multi-instrumentalist and touring DJ Freudenthal (@freudenthal) has a dark wave sound that is all his own. Here he pair up with DJ and producer, Nowhere People (@avivaviv), an artist who has been on the scene for a decade now, releasing on labels like Blaufield Music and Imprint Rural and playing regularly at the likes of Kater Blau. ‘Cipher’ is designed for strobe lit dance floors and comes with lashings of wave influences as this track proves. It’s a stark cut with slapping hits, rugged bass and rave lines that amp up the energy levels, as brilliantly cosmic synth patterns unfold up top to bring the light and ensure maximum impact on the floor.

Headed up by French-Swiss veterans LuLúxpo - the now Barcelona based Paradise Children Records ready a fresh remix on the label to celebrate their 5th anniversary. This is a re-imagining of the label head's classic track Nostalgia by the masterful producer Damon Jee; a fine and fitting addition to a label continuing to broaden smiles across global dance-floors. 

Nostalgia was originally released back in 2018 and remains a clinic in dramatic synthesis. Here, the lauded legend Damon Jee expands on a vast back catalogue with his take - in doing so, he soundtracks a memorable dance-floor moment, ripe with hedonism and illuminated by flickering strobes.

An 80s soundtrack vibe is channeled and is propelled by a throbbing Italo baseline, percolating sequences and hallucinogenic spoken word samples. Progress chugs on towards a dramatic breakdown which spreads its jaws before snapping back in to rapturous effect.

Owner of a peculiar and interesting sonority that seamlessly encompasses his many an influence, Vini Pistori is another young and skilled Brazilian producer with a solid string of well-constructed releases that we have the opportunity to get familiar with: Reviewing a track from “Great Days”, his forthcoming EP on Athens-based label and community Glory Hill Studio, came with the perk of allowing us to explore his previous endeavours and find a few gems for our private collection of, yes, gems. Secret Fusion, Internasjonal, Calypso, Cocada Music, and Levels Rec are some of the imprints on which you can find his most appealing cuts.

For the optimistic “Great Days”, Vini came up with three stunning originals infused with a plethora of cosmic vibes and danceability. Premiered here, the title track counts with the valuable collaboration of the seasoned and respected musician, singer, and songwriter Abrão, whose prior works came out on Rebirth, Duro, Correspondant, I'm A Cliché, and Sony Music México/ORIANNA, just to name a few - multiple of them along with the beloved by all duo Red Axes (SXDNS020), by the way. Two generations of Brazilian pure talent who joined forces to create a must-have tune for the lovers of Nu Disco/Indie Dance out there. The highlights: A bouncing bassline, percussive elements, space FXs, and Abrão’s remarkable vocals.

As Critical Monday takes us through the beginning of this cold new year, Matt Pompeo & Snyl open up Chapter XVII with ‘Innocent Silent’, a rather dark & emotional trip backed by dizzy arpeggiators and melodic guitars, before the plaintive but charming voice of ANGST vor GRETA makes an opening.

Following up comes the second original of this stunning release from the two producers. Here, we definitely enter the groovier territory, tainted by hints of psychedelic and melodic synths unravelling as we progress through the track.

On remix duties, Alexey Union closes this EP beautifully by taking ‘Innocent Silence’ to darker and sweatier territories, giving another depth to ANGST vor GRETA’s catchy vocals, and offering us a long and immersive break, releasing the last part of the track into an earthquake of blissfulness.

After releasing on the AFFKT's imprint "SINCOPAT" and collaborating with Mundo D (releasing some stuffs and remixing the only one Darlyn Vlys), Victor delivers here two complementary pieces.

"Maybe it's Love" tells us a beautiful indie story. The hyper positive melody is carried by a perfectly balanced rhythm, interspersed by FX straight out of the 80's. Love is in the air ?

The break & dance hit "I don't know", hyper grooving and festive, is enhanced by the voice of the vocalist Neburo, making the track more intimate and giving it a New Wave touch.

Who better than Captain Mustache himself to sublimate "Maybe It's Love" …? The french producer, propelled in 2022 by a fantastic series of good releases on Bedrock or Kompakt to name a few, literally transforms the original in an electronic body banger !

Peo Watson and Mika Frojman have known each other for 20 years now. In 2004, they produced "Chicago 72” which was discovered in 2018 at the 'Cercle' of Solomun session due to Solomun playing it as an intro in his set. This got the 2 back to work and after that, they shown a lot of magnificent things. 
After their last successful EP Signs of Sorrow last year, they’re ready for something new. Dust & Blood, the brainchild of Damon Jee, together with Kimshies are ready to come up with superbly forward-looking and sleek new sounds that will take you through several dimensions.
Opener, ‘Blue Planet’, starts off with classic bass lines, stomping rhythms and a post-punk vocal, all competing in the unique challenge of pleasing the audience in a deep-thinking  way. 
Followed up by ‘Cortex Five Senses’, a ride you will not want to get off. This time the approach is more deeper, pacy and hypnotic. A clear vocal swirls comes closer and they are letting their unique grunge-vibe shine through. It is a number that stirs the body and gets people sweating, leaving the listener longing for more.
‘Trapped’ goes back to those slightly older roots. Starting with a classic beat and the robotized voice of Erick Faulkner to analogy soundscapes emanating from modular synthesizers. The end of the track will leave you floating.
As the 4th track starting with an thrilling beat followed by metronomic percussion's, a female voice and some guitar pieces from the wild west, that transports the listener to a daydream of futures past. This along with a horse-riding ending that defines the title ‘Cowboys Don't Cry’.
Last but not least there is ‘Coming Out’ that’s closing the EP. Overall a more sinister and tougher track that awakens your darker demons. No better way to end with industrial synths, drums, and martial beats bathed in darkness.
All this on the ‘Dust & Blood’ label. The work of art that Damon Jee has been working on for a long time and on which a lot of great content has already been released. The Blue Planet EP of the French duo will certainly not disappoint on its release on April the 7th.

Marc Martinez Nadal, aka AFFKT, consecrated a music career and has been a driving force behind a vivid and empowering sound that is refined by his drive for perfection. He feels in deeply in communion with sounds that range from the most energetic hyper-glossy techno to the most detailed and innovative indie-electronica. Having worked on coining the sound of this alias since 2008, it has been a plethora of sounds, places, persons and cultures that has provided a platform for AFFKT to experiment with his output. He serves huge electronic crossover masterpieces that derive into the many sub-genres of music via key imprints such as Pets Recordings, Multinotes, Mobilee, Last Night On Earth, Disco Halal, Needwant, Exploited or Culprit and his very own Sincopat label. He expresses versatility digging deep into his influences of sounds by delivering heart-stopping, engaging techno on the likes of Octopus, Noir Music, Suara...

"Corcho" is a strong incantation of the artist's early influences in electronic music. It's a rollercoaster of emotions, with so much dynamic range that it keeps the listeners on their toes from beginning to end. The track lets us travel to the dancefloor with intense sound design to create a high-energy. Overall, it's an impressive piece of work that shows AFFKT's range and skills.

Meanwhile, "Spider Charmer" is a crossover track that blends different styles and influences to create something truly unique. It's a futuristic piece of music that feels both fresh and timeless, and it's sure to leave listeners speechless. The main organic lead bass is hypnotizing, drawing the listeners in and holding their attention throughout the entire track. Let’s rave or die!

And last but not least, the duo Kimshies, who is a regular of the Dust & Blood family, closes this chapter with an epic remix of "Corcho", another standout track, an inimitable interpretation of the original that creates a deep and memorable musical experience and takes the listeners on a sonic adventure. This rhythmic is a real tribute to electroclash, that will for sure stir things up.
