Jane Musica’s tenth EP, ‘Rewind Time’ by Did Virgo ft. Morgan K is all set for release on 16st July 2021. The EP will include 3 original tracks as well four amazing remixes curated by an fantastic group of electro, electronica  and Dark Disco music, Nivast, Mufti, She Teiks and David From Venus.

"Rewind Time" EP  interprets a unique musical style perfectly, a penchant for storytelling through slow beats and dominant voice really comes across here. Combining love of Electronica and vocals with Morgan K's powerful and enchanting voice keeps listeners entranced throughout the tracks. A slow but empowering musical voyage that moves gracefully and hides depths of emotion just waiting to be delved into.

Nivast and Mufti adds a Dark Disco remix to the EP, featuring compelling heavy sounds and a mid-tempo beat which deepens listeners into an unusual musical world of its own. She Teiks finds himself exploring a more minimalist and progressive edge, a harder and repetitive beat gives the remix a more hypnotic and almost decadent. David From Venus remix is more alternative, a bolder rhythmic intensity with amplified bass sounds for a more future-forward feel.

Musical versatility is really stretched through this EP, offering a unique breadth of emotion and intensity.

PREMIERE: Disco Mortale & Tulioxi - I Only Remember Mistakes [Logical Records]

The roads were closed at every turn, there was no way out of this god forsaken place. Huge barricades blocked off each street, even the alley ways had been shut off with makeshift blockades. They'd gone round in circles for hours and hours trying to make their escape; for now they'd managed to give whoever was trailing them the slip, but they couldn't guarantee they wouldn't be found again.

After five successful stints, Mexico's Duro return for instalment number six of their flagship VA series 'Muy Duro'. As always they welcome a collection of artists who have a synergy with the label and its mission; both old faces and new. This time round they feature contributions from ID_UA & Berny, Hard Fist co-founder Cornelius Doctor, Alvaro Cabana, Colossio and Le Dame Noir's Arthur Johnson, who bring their signature sonic touches with sounds ranging from dark disco to broken beats and synth-driven electronics.

The always interesting Mexican label NUFF MUSIC finally starts its 2022 season! For the 12th EP of the acclaimed imprint, Madrid-based artists Rams & Ivan De La Rouch (FREEDL022/032) teamed up again – the lads have already had previous collaborations released on Espacio Cielo and Golden Soul Records. This time, they bring to life “Diskobrute”, a mighty and cosmic Indie Dance-inclined single featuring fat remixes by Azaria (SXDNS076 as Dirt Track, a duo formed along with Javier Busto) and Disco Mortale, the new alter ego of Daniel Monaco (SXDNS137/FREEDL006). Premiered here, the latter’s contribution, by the way.

If Daniele Labbate tends to explore more his Italo Disco influences when he releases under his main and most prolific moniker, Daniel Monaco, as Disco Mortale he leans into the realms of EMB, Techno/Disco hybrid sounds and Acid vibes. For his interpretation of “Diskobrute”, DM kept the main elements of the original but blended them with more robust and darker ingredients, such as an obscene bassline, a boisterous synth layer, and ominous vocals, resulting in another top-notch piece from this essential artist.

Berlin-based Ombra International love all things post-punk and Italo disco, and they continue to represent that fusion in style on their 21st release. First up HLM brings a heavy wash of synths to 'En Ecailles' before Tony Y Not get into a twanging new wave vibe on 'How About Lily'. Kimshies has a sleazier sound to offer up, while Rees pushes all manner of vintage arpeggios at the behest of 'Lucifer's Tango'. That leaves it to Endrik Schroeder to finish the set with the atmospheric 'Rainy Days', a perfect tribute to washed out 80s post-punk with a strong dose of disco pumping in its veins.

It's a dark night in Tuscany's Accona Desert. A man stares at the sky.
The black horizon reminds him of the depths of his favorite club.
He smells the cigarettes, the beer, the red carpets on the walls.
As he listens, the bouncer shouts at someone to turn off her phone's flash. The music is getting louder and louder as a semi italo-disco bass semi acid 303 machine starts to kick in. He feels his body start moving.
He is being pushed around and around, and the atmosphere is becoming chaotic. As he gets close to the DJ booth the music stops and the world freezes. A dazzling light appears. It burns in his eyes. The DJ jumps over from the stage and lands flat on the ground next to him. He is back in the desert. alone. In his hand, a small star waits. Or is it a USB drive?
