The Edinburgh wonder-boy has been building a solid platform, for his label, featuring his own heated, self released - detroit style originals. We have seen the Scottish based party starter playing alongside Eli Brown, Cera Khin and Helena Hauff at his own event, First Edition Edinburgh which he has also welcomed Call Super and Dr Rubenstien to party up on his home turf  in the past.

Astro is no stranger to us when he peaked our interest after  featuring on various - well known labels, such as Shall Not Fade, Gestalt Records & House Records, whilst also keeping up to date with his own boss label Neptune Discs.

We have seen him play all over the UK and we are excited to see what he has in store in the future, but for the moment, lock into this fiery mix from the man himself and be sure to check out all his other releases over on Neptune Discs.

Following up Fortune Signal’s debut release “Give Some,” Panooc / @panooc_music (they/them) returns for the label’s 8th release to date with the “Make It Real” EP. The Scottish producer and DJ offers up three high-energy original tracks alongside a peak-time remix from fellow UK producer and Kouncil Kuts boss Mark Mackenzie.

Throughout the EP, Panooc takes an adventurous approach to fuse their influences that celebrate nostalgia and the future, like on the title track ‘Make It Real,’ which kicks things off with smooth deep house chords and an acid bassline that nod to early classics. Energetic vocal chops and melodic sampling show their love for the sounds of the contemporary queer underground.

‘Same Origin’ quickly shakes things up with spirited rave-inspired breaks and a heavy pulsing bassline that makes it impossible not to start moving.

Meant to channel the surreal feelings of a dream, the soaring emotional chords and rolling sinister bassline of ‘Exits’  strike a perfect balance for early AM warehouse moments.

Mark Mackenzie flips the title track on its head for a pulsing, peak-time version made for big rooms and festival fields with more early rave-inspired flourishes.

Panooc, a member of the renowned queer collective XOXA, has also had recent releases with Sorry Records, .WAVCAVE, Delusional Records, and Super Drama.

For the debut release of Eternal Ocean, Ronan weaves the story of a personal search for meaning, a pull at the loose thread in the woven blanket of reality. In empty urban landscapes and serene natural environments he began to find clues to some kind of inner doorway. In these moments of inquisitive solitude, there seemed to be a ‘way inside’, the beginnings of a path towards understanding, towards peace. In discovering the trance of communal dancing he realized that many answers could be found somewhere between the soundsystem and its operator. Maybe it was in the subwoofer, as the rumblings began to reshape the patterns of his feet, or the frequency of the top speakers as they sympathetically vibrated his inner ear. In these spaces there seemed to exist some connection to a universal feeling, a shared experience that went beyond the rave, beyond history, beyond bodies, there lied something there, something intangible but existent nonetheless. ‘Prolongez La Magie’ is about following those feelings of exploration and listening to the voice of your inner child, your deepest ally. It is about keeping those special memories in your heart, and extending that wonder and excitement of the imagined, the fantastic and the unexplainable into all facets of your life.
