About

Joomanji was formed in 2010 by Jonah Christian, Amir Oosman, and Robert Finucane. The multi-faceted instrumentalists met at the University of California Santa Cruz whilst studying Jazz and Electronic Music. Their first release, MANJ, gained attention from FACT Magazine, Earmilk, BamaLoveSoul, Pigeons &amp; Planes, as well as many other prominent musical blogs. The project also hit #1 on Bandcamp.com's Neo-Soul &amp; Nu-Jazz charts, respectively, &amp; was placed on Reddit’s official best of 2013 “ListentoThis” list. 

Joomanji has had the pleasure of collaborating with artists such as Devin the Dude, Carlitta Durand, Chris Young the Rapper (VIBE) and many more. The group has relocated to Los Angeles and currently features Lindsay Olsen, Austin Antoine and Joseph Salcedo. Productions consist of live recordings mixed intermittently with vinyl chops. The resulting music is a fusion of crisp instrumentals with that vintage sound that us hip hop heads all love.

DBST cultivates an unparalleled sound blending blues, rock, and funk grooves. With frontman Sam Pohl's high energy compositions and genuine lyrical style, DBST produces an energetically compelling sound. In its inception, Pohl, along with David Himlie, guitar, and Ben Darin, drums, worked rigorously to build a foundation upon which this group could grow. Desiring a more complex sound, the sophisticated stylings of Ryan Coughran on sax and Dave Van Zandt on guitar and bass were added. The final addition of trumpeter and vocalist Danielle Westbrook has completed the transformation of this former trio into a well-rounded musical genus that is sure to please the most discerning of tastes. 

Fans have seen the band go from playing classic dives in Olympia to sharing stages with many beloved west coast artists including Joe Doria, Skerik's Bandalabra, Monophonics, Polyrythmics, Eldridge Gravy and the Court Supreme, Blue Lotus, and Dirty Revival.

Foxy Apollo is a Seattle based jazz funk music collective formed in 2016. Fronted by guitarist/lead singer Sam Ashkenazy, the group's current (and most consistent) line up includes bass player Zachary Schmidt, drummer Dallas Quick, singer/percussionist TyeLeah Nanto, keyboard/trumpet player Jackson Crux, and Saxophonist Chet Przybysz. 

April 2018 saw the release of Foxy Apollo's debut EP, Tangie. Since then the group has been playing all over Washington state while working on new material. As of now they are working on their first full length release, set to be out by the end of this year.

I'm a singer-songwriter. I play guitar, ukulele, fretted and fretless bass guitars and a few other instruments. I worked over the years with many different bands, mainly as a bass player, but now lately I'm focused more on acoustic guitars and singing.
