freDJorge is a musician, DJ, researcher, vinyl collector and radio broadcaster and has become known for spearheading the rebirth of the samba soul funk in the nights of Campinas, in the São Paulo state of Brazil. As the lead singer of Fred Jorge e os Maiorais, Fred has shared the stage with Funk Como Le Gusta, Sandália de Prata and Jorge Ben Jor. freDJorge's DJ set is a fusion of styles where the highlight is quality music, hunted through his meticulous and thorough musical research and tested in many dance floors. freDJorge seamlessly navigates amongst genres in his set, ranging from American soul to old school funk to soul samba to the authentically Brazilian samba-rock and even to acid grooves influenced by hip hop and jazz. 
In May 2011 he had his European debut as a DJ with shows in London, Paris and beautiful Toulouse.
In addition to his flourishing career as a DJ, freDJorge's band Fred Jorge e os Maiorais will be releasing the first single to their second album, "Disse que Disse", produced by hitmaker DJ Hum.
