This weeks podcast is one with a silver lining, as it is our 150th FrenzyPodcast! We want to thank everyone for the support on our podcast series over the years as it has been an important musical expression for Frenzy. We've done it with care and love for the music, and we can tell you that we won't stop anytime soon!

Sam, as Setaoc Mass goes through life daily, won't need any further introduction, as his musical output as Setaoc Mass and via his label SK_eleven have been one of the most prolific in the past couple of years. Where's the techno?

For me, techno happens in the moment, where the manipulation of tones, timbre, triggers, timing and modulation occurs in real time, using an ever-evolving curated selection of voltage-controlled hardware. (Many of the individual modules were soldered and built myself.)

It is literally impossible for me to play the same music twice. In fact, when I listen back to tracks after a few weeks, I often have little idea of exactly how I made the noises present in the recordings. There are too many variables involved to remember. Which is why it's so interesting and why I never get bored by it.

Everything you hear is a recording of a live performance that I cannot replicate.

For anyone who is into the gear itself, you will find links to the modules used to produce each track in the track description box. You will notice the evolution of my system if you care to compare them.

If you're a DJ who wants to play any of my privately released tracks, please get in touch and I will send over the files.
