Viennese freshman Arthur Robert has eagerly carved a niche in the collective psyche of late with a handful of self-released titles and a string of hypnotic EPs on Len Faki’s Figure. These are the fruits of a studio routine outside of which he’s often found piously performing ruminant sets and passing on knowledge to a clique of eager students. Since his early 20s based in Amsterdam, the symbiotic exchange between that city and Detroit is evident in his and his peers’ work. There’s an extra twist though: a self-professed flair for trip-hop, ambient, breakbeat, drum ’n’ bass and movie soundtracks. In fact, it’s in his work’s focus on the psychedelic, groovy and atmospheric that a solid reference to many beloved sci-fi classics can be found. For Bassiani Podcast 129 he tries his hand at scoring a fiction all of his own, at once twitchy, escapist and modern.

Daichi began playing vinyl only eight years ago, inspired by his first visit to Berlin back in 2011. Since then, he has mastered the craft by digging and playing vinyl for hours every day.

His track selection spans a wide range of genres — everything from techno, industrial, ghetto tech, breakbeat, acid, electro, and '90s–'00s techno - which made him become one of Japan’s most prominent techno DJs of the new era, gaining recognition not only domestically but also across Europe.
