"The immortality of the soul was hardly doubted in Celtic lands if Roman and Greek sources are to be believed. With respect to Celtic belief, Julius Caesar stated that souls “pass after death from some to others” (ab aliss post mortem transire ad alios). This may simply mean that the soul obtained a new corporeal vessel after it departed from its old shell. However, taken alone this quote tells us little about what the Celts truly believed regarding death and reincarnation.

Other classical authors noted that the druids believed in the idea of the transmigration of the soul. Diodorus Siculus stated that the soul “lives again after a certain number of years” in another form or body. Lucan also paid mention to the druid’s belief in reincarnation. He stated, "The spirit governs limbs in another region; if you know whereof you sing, death is in the middle of a long life.” This quote delineates the transitory nature of the soul and simply states that the body is the vessel that houses it. Yet others likened the druid’s teachings to that of Pythagoras (who also adhered to the notion that souls went through a transmigration process). From what little can be gathered of the remaining references to Pythagorean teaching, it was thought that the soul might reincarnate into either human or animal bodies. This was known as metempsychosis."

A little song about peace ... my childhood was happy, with ups and downs, but we had peace. 25 years after the destructive low, we were aware of a certain security. Now the Iron Curtain returns and destroys so many souls. This here - my statement - is in no way political, but the people of Ukraine are on the run. Whether husband, wife and especially their children. Imagine waking up ... and it's war. Just a day before, you were playing with your friends in the street - the street that is now the scene of a game you can't understand. Now I wonder why we played "cops and robbers" as kids, why we placed miniature plastic soldiers on hills to wrest territory from the other. Why we dressed up as cowboys for carnival - the other as an Indian - and thought that the cowboy was the better person??? Why are we only now becoming aware of this?

I still remain the child who believes in dragons, in witches.... but evil surrounds us not in belief, but in reality!

Il Neige Sur Assise.        Texte :Sanzen

Boule de neige au salon, mon enfance sur un vieux guéridon
Sous la cloche en trois dimensions , Assise , mes émotions
Solitaire sans raison , encombré de ce corps bien trop grand
j’envahis tout l’espace restant  qui est fait d’un seul et même plan.

Et pendant ce temps tu défies placide la  gravitation .  
ce n’est pas toujours la fête , tu traverses tel un géant  les saisons
grâce à ton  humour ,à ton amour, ta superbe autodérision
et si ça se trouve  ,  quelques flocons dans ton salon.   

je me construis un univers fait  d’huiles et de pastels dorés
ma toile est comme la vie trop souvent déséquilibrée  
je me sers un peu moins de ma tête que de mon coeur , de mes grands pieds.
peindre c’est pas toujours la fête , le gout une valeur trop partagée .
 
Et pendant ce temps tu défies placide la gravitation .  
ce n’est pas toujours la fête , tu traverses tel un géant les saisons 
grâce à ton  humour ,à ton amour, ta superbe autodérision
et si ça se trouve  quelques flocons dans ton salon. 

 
Unijambiste dans….ma tête ,je suis en lévitation 
je mets du rouge dans  mon salon, sous cloche mon horizon
du doré sur ma toile une  vie captive sous les flocons...
quelques facéties  , mon enfance sur le vieux guéridon

Et pendant ce temps on défie tous la gravitation 
ce n’est pas toujours la fête , on traverse comme on peut  chaque saison
grâce à de l’ humour ,à de l’amour, une superbe autodérision
