It was a joy to play the warm up set at Optimo's New Year's Day party in The Berkeley Suite earlier this month. The night started at 8pm (until 4am...so a long night) and the room took a while to get busy so I felt it was completely acceptable to veer into the stranger atmospheric territories of my record collection. By half an hour or so in, people had started arriving and dancing so things pick up around halfway through but I still keep the tempo down for a leisurely build. As summer ushers in a heatwave over Berlin, we invite you to join Minou on a psychedelic, mind-expanding journey through sound.

Berlin-based MINOU ORAM [LYL / Cereals] is a DJ and producer blending music over many decades and styles between meditative serenity and dazing temper in quest of evoking catharsis through sound.

In her boundless sets she draws upon a wealth of musical influences roaming through the abysses of abstract electronica, cosmic and exotic timbres, industrial post-disco, alienated pop, personal field recordings and more. In 2016 she founded the FEMDEX project to promote gender diversity in electronic music as well as she hosts the bimestrial show SVVENIR on the French radio station LYL and is an active part of the THF RADIO and CEREALS collective.
