8dio is a company specialized in advanced deep-sampling of music instruments - developed by Academy Award Winning composer, Troels Folmann. 

8Dio products are featured in the majority of current blockbusters (ex. Avatar, James Bond, Interstellar, Dark Knight Rises, Transformers, District 9), TV-shows (ex. Game of Thrones, Dexter, CSI, NCIS) and video games (ex. Overwatch, Diablo 3, Madden, Starcraft 2, Mass Effect 3, Need For Speed series) and used by many of the highest profile artists, composers and top 40 producers in the industry.

8Dio is the largest deep-sampled instrument catalogue in the world from the new generation Orchestral Products, Hybrid Scoring Tools to the best sounding Epic- and Angelic Choirs, from industry standard Epic Percussion series to beautiful Solo Voices from around the world, from gorgeous Tuned Percussion to custom made instruments.

Guitarist, composer and arranger from Genoa.
He begins to play the electric guitar, inspired by the English and American rock music of the Sixties.
After a frst approach to the instrument, he becomes attached to the american , the great black singers, later to the Chicago scene and fnally to the of the Sixties. He begins to develop his musical path in this direction.
After a few years, his interest in folk music intensifes and postpones for a long time the electric guitar. He dedicates himself to the acoustic guitar, to bluegrass, to country music and the diferent styles of the american guitar playing. He studies during several years with the Italian pioneer
of Flatpicking Beppe Gambetta. Afterwards there are international workshops, live performances with some appreciation. This convinces him to begin a more severe and dense study, to revive also the electric guitar. 2006 he registers at the Accademia di Musica Moderna Lizard di Fiesole (Florence). There his musical vision increases and enters the world
of fusion and .
2007 he visits the ￼ ￼ ￼ summer workshops. Five years later, he‘s awarded in Florence in electric rock-blues guitar and harmony of modern music.
The great passion for the cinema and the historical soundtracks drive him to a musical way which dissuades him from the idea to be merely an instrumentalist or executor.
He participates at the workshop Lizard soundtrack and the crash course
of Orchestration, with the aim to enter in the world of soundtracks.
He decides to go to the USA, to New York. During two and a half years, he works at recording studios and for commercial promotions with the Italian soundtracks composer Simone Giuliani, as studio guitarist and arranger.
He returns to Europe, and after a period in Berlin, in which he composes and records music for American short movies, he settles down in Zurich, Switzerland. Here he begins to collaborate actively with „NZZ Format“ and local producers. He produces music for commercials and TV- documentaries. Furthermore, he collaborates for several New York projects, within the range of short and long movies.
