This meditation is based on the 'Unification of Opposites' Meditation in 18+ book 'The Way Of Emotion' by Chris T. The version in the book is more simplified, this guided meditation is the way I found it best to visualise in detail the whole process. 

The book itself explains about the four emotional pairs of opposites and how they work together within the human body and psyche to create the 'ego'. This meditation will temporarily negate all emotion (the ego) to find balanced stillness until enlightenment is fully achieved.
