Old Home Place (Band Practice)

Originally recorded on the night of 7/15/2024. I started with a couple of clean guitars, thru a Fender and a HiWatt amp. Added bass, mandolin (recorded with a Lewitt LCT040 small condenser), and piano. Added the vocal the following night as I wrote the lyrics on the way to/from work. This was so much fun to do because it just all came so quick. 

The ending is about the only thing I wish I would've done differently, but short of that, all fun!

I spent some time on the vocal chain this time (normally I kinda just slap it on there). First, it's run thru a TLM103 mic into a Black Lion "BLUEY" compressor, then an SSL 611EQ (with light settings), and then on to the interface (Motu 828). The thing with the BLUEY is it sounds great, but you can over-do it so I think I have it dialed in now the way it needs to be.
