As a composer, Tony Tosti's inspired excellence continues to make its mark in the industry having worked on projects in network television, live theatre, radio, and on a wide range of music and sound design projects, short films and animated shorts. 

He has worked with a countless number of artists recording albums, producing projects, co-writing songs and providing orchestration and arranging for bands including the legendary band Lighthouse.

Through several innovative techniques in sound technology, Tony contributed significantly in the creation of a number of unique and powerful personal development products integrating subsonic sound frequencies into soundscapes and music compositions, in order to enhance the mind-body connection. His work with children inspired Tony to create a music education project called The Land of Rhythmos (www.landofrhythmos.com)

This work subsequently led him to his current positions as a College and University Professor. Tony developed and re-designed several post-secondary courses in the areas of Music in Media, Film History and Music Composition and Sound Design at Ryerson University in Toronto, ON as well as Sheridan College Institute of Applied Technology and Advanced Learning in Oakville, ON.

Tony continues to compose music for multi-media while continuing to teach at Post Secondary Institutions as well as privately to students of all ages out of Whitby, ON from The Home Studio providing instruction for Piano, Drums, Voice, Songwriting, Composition, and Music Recording Software.

Let's start with a bit about ourselves. We published an audio/magazine called Sequences for nearly twenty years and at the beginning of 2012 started podcasting on iTunes & more recently on Mixcloud & Soundcloud.  We publish two editions each month,  approx 3hrs in length.
I have been in Electronic music for over 50 years now, from the early experimental sounds of Karl Heinz Stockhausen, the German scene in the 70s with Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze, Robert Schroeder, etc through to some of the more modern, trance, chill-out, ambient music, although we stay away from techno, house, dance and the more pop-orientated stuff.

Shifted all my dozens of albums to Bandcamp now - The music is a rare hybrid of melodic progressive trance, celtic &amp; world music and cinematic electronica. His versatility lies in his being able to exhibit the sensitivity in combining music of different cultures required for a wide range of film genre and being able to utilise both full orchestral scoring through arrangement and production to cutting edge electronic music realisation and sound design.
Gary became interested in music at an early age and was playing guitar and clarinet by the age of 9.He was already composing piano pieces by the age 11 and was playing &amp; writing in several signed bands through to early twenties. He gained a BA in music &amp; physics at Manchester University. After University Gary founded Audio Images his own music and multimedia production company as one of the first in the UK to use computers and sample equipment and began creating commercial music for TV, Radio and Advertising. He also co-produced and worked with renowned Manchester bands during this period. He composed many library albums and had works regularly played on BBC TV and National Radio, scores for documentaries and drama, including stage work.
Gary also began teaching Music and Multimedia Production at Central Manchester College for two years before moving to the London based Guildhall School and finally lecturing at the famous BRIT School for four years working with artists. At the BRIT school he mentored emerging young artists in the studio such as Imogen Heap &amp; David Lynden Hall and developed new forms of interactive on and offline performance pieces. Gary also organised, performed and composed for contemporary music festivals in London in collaboration with the Royal Academy of Music.
He then went to work at the BBC for eight years as a key new media Senior Development Producer but continued scoring and writing music for film, TV and interactive including several at the BBC . He has a continued interest in the participatory potential for music creation in a web 2.0 world and as well as specialising in progressive trance and film now he lectures in music for games, generative composition and future music tech.
