Welcome to the end of year round up from Node!
It's been one hell of a year for good music, so here's a selection including bits from all the Gated releases over the year and a load of other amazing tunes. It's not a "best of" per se, just a collection of what we've been listening to over the year that have stood out personally and also fit together pretty nicely for a varied selection of bpms and styles.
Here's to a new year and a podcast schedule that should be back to normal in January.

Old fart who loves 4:4 across the board. Occasionally promote and play out at a night called 'Darkroom' and at 'Esoteric' at The Trades Club, Hebden Bridge. currently promoting #InRealLife at The Golden Lion, Todmorden (next event is 3/12/25 with Reedale Rise live.) Held a residency on the Modulations podcast and broadcast 'The Electric Lounge' radio show for two years. Musical inspirations: too many. Forged in late 89 sweatboxes in Manchester...But it ain't where you're from, it's where you're at.

The meaning of my music, is  to make music that I like, I think that's a kind of freedom that nobody can take away from me.
Every artist should believe in his own strength, and not let them guide by influences from outside.

Before the turnaround (fall of the wall), my parents brought a robotron KC85/3 computer home and I loved it. The sound could only be generated by 2 pulses waveforms, but despite all this, some of the original games had a freaky sound.

Meanwhile, I was playing with a friend with a Commodore 64. I always had a penchant for it and I was also interested in various chiptunes. Nevertheless, later I preferred to go to the roots - composing music with hardware. I handled a lot with the DMC tracker for the C64. I can not say if there was any documentation, but I remember that I found out how some parameters work with my old oscilloscope. I wrote some results for Richard Bayliss - Music Scene Tutorial. 

In 2006 I won the "Battle of the Bits - Winter Chip I" competition in the category SID - which earned me fifty 7" vinyls. At that time my interest in synthesizers of all kinds grew (but in general the focus for 8-Bit machines).
