Birds of Mind are back on Get Physical with the second of three singles that are planned for 2022. 

Paris-based duo Alex H. and Adrian C are still riding high off their stylish full length on Kindisch back in December as well as their hugely well received ‘Mi Pena’ single on Get Physical which topped the Beatport Organic House chart. With all their music over the years, they mix up deep moods, spiritual atmospheres and artful synth craft, which is the case again here. 

'No Time For Tears' is a languid house groove that uplifts your spirits. The loose-limbed drums get you moving while pensive chords bring the emotion. The breakdown is a majestic one with wispy synths and string-like chords that are golden and balmy before the drums drop again. 

This is another richly detailed house track from the ever-evolving @birds-of-mind.

Cuban duo PAUZA have curated new series ‘Cuba, Get Physical!’ and it kicks off with one of their own tracks with Arema Arega and a remix by Monkey Safari.

Paula Fernandez and Zahira Sanchez, both from Havana, have a distinctive take on house music that draws on their rich local cultural references. The result is a sound rich in organic percussion and Afro-tinged drums that are authentic and alive every step of the way. They have been associated with Get Physical for a while and have released solo EPs and contributed to the Cocada - The Second Season compilation in the past. Here they work with Arema Arega, a Cuban singer-songwriter, music producer, painter and fashion designer.

'Caliente' is a brilliantly rich house sound with organic percussion and hypnotising vocals from Arega. The groove bumps and shuffles, with wooden hits and bubbling bass next to slick synth work and sensuous trumpet sounds which add up to a seductive and cultural track.

Label mainstays Monkey Safari then step up with a remix that goes deep. It's sprinkled with shakers, delicate chord work and moody grooves that snake late into the night and get you in a trance.

This is a superb introduction to the forthcoming Cuba, Get Physical! EP.

Daniel Dubb & Jonathan Rosa are next up on Get Physical with a pair of expertly crafted tunes that showcase their real knack for melodic house music. 

This duo has worked together before on labels like Kinetika Records and Snatch! Records and also have their own esteemed solo careers. Dubb is a house artist from Canada who runs the DV8 label and has won plenty of plaudits and Beatport Top 10 slots for his work on 8Bit, Saved and more. Rosa, meanwhile, is already linked with Get Physical as well as the likes of Suara, and is another Canadian with his own slick take on tech. 

Brilliant opener ‘Diamonds’ is a real summer sizzler, with house grooves coloured bywarm chords and wild xylophone patterns that add lush harmonies. It’s quick and arresting and smart drum programming keeps you on your toes throughout the breezy trip. 

The deeper and just as quality ‘Embers’ is for cosier dance floors. Rich melody patterns sparkle over mid-tempo drums that have real heart. It’s a colourful track that’s busy and brimming with musicality. 

This coming together of two talented Canadians once again results in a vital new EP from Get Physical.

Birds of Mind is the collaboration of Parisian based duo Alex Heim & Adrian Carreno. They have a busy summer ahead with gigs at Black Coffee’s party at Hï Ibiza as well as show in Mykonos and at Heart Ibiza, and are coming off the back of strong releases on Supernature and Sol Selectas that continue to show off their organic sounds, ancient chants and tribal beats.

For this superb new track the pair link with Zemira Israel who provides the sort of enchanting vocal sounds that permeate your soul. Her delicate coos and angelic whispers are layered over subtle beats that comfort you as they carry you along.

This is a truly captivating house track that exudes rich emotions and will mark a standout moment in any set this summer.

Next to that there has been a constant stream of innovative, dance-floor ready singles, crossover club classics, seminal remixes and a number of standout artist albums. The label has always stayed true to its house roots, but with a rich array of influences taken from the worlds of disco, deep, tech and melodic house.
