So many beautiful experiences I have been through the last couple of weeks. From a beautiful gig in Lake Tahoe, to other crazy ones in LA, NY, San Diego and Austin. And then last week I had the privilege to play at the AfrikaBurn. A festival about 5 hours drive from Cape Town. I did two shows there. A sunset one and a pre-burn one. Both beautiful on its own. And when you hear the crowd scream: 'one more song, one more song' knowing that I already played 2 'more' songs....yes, then you know that they like what you do. That having said: I love bringing joy and happiness in your lives so the feeling is mutual! So straight from the heart another Deep & Sexy podcast for you guys. Here's the recording of my set from the Mixmag Lab in New York on March 30. 

It was an amazing experience to play in the new Brooklyn Mixmag Office during their weekly Lab session. As it was my first time jamming during a live video stream, it was an interesting challenge to pick only a dozen of records to play to the online audience. There were so many tracks I wanted to share, I decided to do my selection from music from some friends & labels I love but I also included a few of my upcoming songs & collabs. 

I'd like to say a big thank you to Rocky & the Mixmag NY team for putting together such a cool & creative production, they were running around all night long to capture all the possible angles (all this while dancing and smiling). And of course, thank you to all the friends & music lovers who keep supporting what we do as artists, it means everything!

The most excited moment when I was played in Petra, Jordan 🇯🇴, with good friends.  energy is language, music is language. We are all brothers.

It is the beginning of a new era. After moving to Berlin 1 and a half years ago, I had a long and difficult pause where I was simply figuring out life. And so, with it, Getting Deeper also went into hiding. Slowly but surely, with my own resurrection I am happy to resurrect Getting Deeper back into life. 

Marking the resurrection is this stunning Live set by Padouc. I don’t do Live sets very often, simply because I don’t get many submissions and also because it is very hard to find a good quality live set that is suitable as an online podcast; one that is fitting to the ears and headphones of those of us who are moving, pausing, and taking a break and sometimes spending secret, special moments of joy in our own little caves. 

So what makes this set so fitting and so special in its aliveness? It is simply as alive as a live set can get:  a post-electronic, psychedelic infusion of sublime and ethereal textures. Beautifully crafted, with a consistent and patient progression that will take you on a slow and transgressing journey of self-love (that’s if you enjoy it).
