Mobilee On Air invites POPOF & Captain Mustache | Ibiza BPM Radio

'Israeli talent Adam Ten delivers his first EP on his imprint Maccabi House, marking the eighth release on the label since its launch in August of last year. Set for release this June, Adam’s 15 Days EP consists of three original tracks with psychedelic influences alongside a remix from rising duo Bonafique.
Speaking ahead of the EP’s release, Adam explained how “This is my first EP of 2022; I was carefully selecting the tracks that I made around the summer time last year when all the clubs and parties were returning and I felt inspired to write my interpretation of dance music once more. The 15 Days EP is a representation of the music direction I'm trying to push on Maccabi House, which is predominantly house music but with psychedelic and sometimes ethnic twists on top.”
The title track opens the EP and sets the tone with a teasing bassline paired with prominent block percussions and a spoken female vocal asking the question; “Do you see it yet?”. Speak Out Your Soul follows as rapid drum patterns and melodies lead the way over a steady bassline. Contra Bass is next up and made in collaboration with close friend Yamagucci, resulting in an atmospheric and dancefloor-focused track. Rounding off the release, Bonafique remix 15 Days adding an upfront feel to the track with energetic breakdowns.
Hailing from Tel Aviv, Maccabi House founder Adam Ten has shaped and developed a unique sound with a discography that boasts releases on the likes of Diynamic, Crosstown Rebels, Multinotes, Disco Halal, Selador and more. A staple name on Israel’s circuit and a resident of Tel Aviv’s famed ‘The Block’ club, Adam Ten is now quickly becoming a regular on the international circuit with performances across L.A., Miami, New York, Cape Town, Mykonos, Barcelona, Rome, Milan, Berlin, Munich and more.'

With its title meaning ‘flower’ in Dutch, Bloem EP sees Maroki depart somewhat from the colder acid and electro inflections of most of his previous releases, favouring instead a sunnier vibe and a focus on melody and texture.

‘ICBT1’ embodies this sugar-coated departure perfectly. High-frequency metallic synth plucks form a dynamic melody, making up just one element of a dense soundscape which also compiles a reverb-laden cymbal break, elated flutes and pitched-up vocal chops. The title track, together with ‘Forgot You’ strips things back a little, both driven by an understated deep house beat. ‘Bloem’ sees the EP at its most gentle with bubbly xylophonic tinkles that evoke the hypnotic allure of K-Lone’s ‘Cape Cira’ LP; whilst ‘Forgot You’ gets its melody from the low ends.

‘Forgot Me’ is its moody older sibling and the most minimal track of them all, showcasing the darker underbelly to Maroki’s sound with eerie underwater arpeggios and hollow percussion. This atmosphere sticks around for ‘Why’: an entrancing full-bodied breaks track sure to be closing DJ sets this Summer.

Having shared the decks with everyone from Cubicolor to Martin Roth, and having a debut EP on Bedrock earlier this year, Canada's juSt b is swiftly becoming a name too hard to ignore. Her debut release on Balance delivers an exceptionally cerebral track that will sit flush in many sets. Also featured are four quality remixes that take in everything from deep techno, to breaks and more…

The deep beat on 'Light Sweeper' is undeniable with its mysterious energy. Glacial synths sweep the top end while being punctured by pondering piano stabs. There is bipolar nature to the production: warm and enveloping in the lows yet cold and wintry in the highs. It's a steady rhythm intent on intoxicating you.

The @audioglider remix reconstitutes the original into a thick, almost Amen breaks like direction. The synths are blown up to an optimal size and layered into a melodic sequence, keeping the original mystery. The breakdown is progressive house bliss, melancholy without being saccharine, before crashing back into the rhythm with added vocal by juSt b and soaring strings.

@jameswelsh's deep techno take is filled with percolating percussive hits and melodic arps weaving in and out of each other with total abandon. Featuring a considerably bigger kick, this is one to kickstart the main room.

The @mattrmusic remix starts off minimal with a deep meta physical engine, a hulking rhythm that slowly moves forward. Two separate breakdowns introduce a rising melody soaked in emotion, and the latter explodes into a 4/4 pattern that will sound divine on a dusty festival dancefloor.

If you're after the perfect opening track, look no further than the elegant remix from @ev3rsun. With its delightful opening 2 minute sequence, it is one part ambient and one part secret waiting to be told. It breaks into a gentle rhythm that sets the mood for what's to follow.

Kiz Pattison has teamed up with the vocal talents of Asyn, on his first solo release with us. Come A Bit Closer, is a stripped back progressive journey! Pattison has purposefully made Asyn’s airy vocal the star of the show. With added trademark effects running throughout, we think that Come A Bit Closer is Pattison’s best work to date.

With releases on Renaissance, Balance, and many other respected imprints. Mattr has gained much respect with his progressive breaks sound. His remix provides a balance between day time parties, to sunrise settings, rounding off another fantastic release that we are very proud of.
